@Vignesh, I believe that this is the best way to do it because when you apply for for the extension you get a receipt that say “WP-Extensio Excep PGWP”. This is not stated on the BOWP receipt.

Can you please make a video on the process of extending work permit because work permit was given only for the validity of the passport. For example, 3 years are usually given after completing 2 years of course but since the passport expires in a year, only 1 year PGWP is given.

So basically, you wanted to say that we need to submit “ BOWP “ because when we fill all the questions there are two questions that are about AOR and Submitted PR file, that we need to answer as “yes”. If we submit this “Extension” without AOR, then once we receive ITA and submit all documents, so do we need to submit fresh BOWP or we can raise a web form to inform them that we received AOR with attachments.

Hey Kubeir I want to ask a question on behalf of my friend. My friend's wife didn't get full PGWP because her passport will be expiring next year. So my friend also got his work permit for same duration as her. She will apply for work permit with new passport. Can they apply together for extension? or what's your suggestion? Also his wife has NOC B level job.

Hi sir, my case I applied (December 6 2021) pr on non express entry PR through pnp program. My pgwp going to expired on April. And I already received letter of support from Novascotia immigration officer. It’s mentioned T13/Lmia exempt work permit for 2 year. After this i talk to my RCIC immigration consultant. And he said, WE CAN APPLY FOR OPEN WORK PERMIT & and he send me retainer agreement for open work permit submission. So my question is, if I applied for open work permit IRCC give open or closed?? (My Pnp nomination letter mentioned that, my pnp is employer restricted one) Thank you in advance sir 🙏

Hi! I am currently on a Post Graduate Work Permit (PGWP). I have completed the two year Masters in Canada and applied for work permit and received in Nov 2020. However, My work permit was issued to the validity of the passport aka. April 2023 (around (2.4 years) and not the full validity of three years. I want to ask if I am eligible for the work permit extension after renewing my passport since the officer remarks are "Post-graduate work permit document issued to passport expiry. Must renew for further extensions." I have read differing comments so just want to ask so that I have a better understanding. Thanks for you help.

I have personally extended my PGWP in 2020 due to my expiring passport and it worked perfectly - just apply for an extension and write a letter explaining your passport will expire before the full three years you're entitled to.

Hi Kubeir, really liked your video and the way you quoting directly from IRCC website. It's quite helpful to me. I have two questions about PGWP extension, can we can apply for it only once when the decision was made? I mean if we got rejected from the IRCC, which we knew it would be, Can we still reapply for it many times to stay as maintained status? Second questions is the fee, I looked up the link you put, there is normal PGWP fee $255, and another one is Restoration $605, to this kind of situation, we should choose the one for restoration, right?

In order to be in implied status your current status needs to be valid. Hence if you get a refusal, you can not re-apply for a work permit just to continue being on implied status. You would then need to stop working, restore/change your status to a visitor or international student if you enrol in another program

When you go to a visitor from expiring PGWP in that case you will need to stop working on expiry of your PGWP

What is bridging course ? There is bridging work permit available to continue working and staying. And to get this bridging work permit, you need ITA + AOR. Pls correct if wrong

Each province has a different program and you need to check individual PNP websites for their program details and criteria and apply accordingly
