I should also note that my answer about shopping churches assumes that all the teachings at the different churches are equally Biblical and faithful as far as you can tell. Also, y'all see those pens on the floor behind me?! It bugs me so much! They fell right before I started filming, but all I heard was a crash and I couldn't figure it out! Now I know! lol. But all that to say, I could NOT have predicted the AMAZING feedback on my first episode of the podcast. Thank you all for the love. Here's the next episode, it probably won't measure up to the first, but here it is- the second for many to come!

This episode was awesome to listen to as I cleaned my kitchen (because it was my night off from cooking). Also we went through the church search last year, and I definitely agree with what you said about different times of life in your family. Switching to a more Spirit - filled church was out of our comfort zone, but exactly what we needed to grow.

I don't have a specific question, but I want to commend you for your fresh, open, creative, and spontaneous takes on faith issues. I'm a retired man for the last three years and have my own evangelism website and videos. I could be jealous of your youth, energy, and creativity, but I have been praying for young people like yourself to reach our next generation. You are like a breath of fresh air. I'm praying for you and your family.

Can I just admit to you, and everyone else who reads the comment section, that I yelped out loud 🔊 "Yay the podcast" when the notification came up?! I've been waiting for some hard stuff to come up stuff that makes me dig deeper and this seems to be one of the only places I find that. Thank you, now back to playing your podcast. Edit: I am a single mom in my fifties. My children are now adults but I did spend about I would say maybe close to 10 years where I would not go near a church or Christian radio station because it was all about judgment on the single mother. The church as a whole, not each and every single solitary Church but many, has abandoned the single mother in favor of saying that all men are righteous and women are not. It is only been in recent years where feminists have demanded to be treated in the same way as men. Which makes it very hard for me as a born-again Christian. Some of my closest friends are non-Christian feminists. When I read the scriptures I see that Jesus treated men and women the same. He did not tell Mary and Martha to go to the kitchen but rather he encouraged them to sit at his feet and listen to his words, just as he did the men. I so much want to scream from the rooftops this single moms do not become single moms because it is their dream! Most of us, I would dare say 90% or more, become single parents because the three-legged man walks away from his commitment to the child or children. And while that may not be a scripturally sound description it is accurate. What I will also say is that I am trying to find healing in my older age from the damage that was inflicted by the church on me at a younger age. And if there are any single moms who watch Faith's videos or listen to her podcast and see this comment and you reach out to me I will be more than happy to be an email pen pal and help you in any way that I can. And tomorrow a very overused phrase from tiny Tim, God bless us everyone!

When my children were young, my older daughter really needed the flashier church environment, I loved my little old time church, but it was not good for her, she didn't understand the sermons and her mind would wander and she started to hate church, so we bit the bullet and moved to a big church that had lots of different ministries. There was something for everyone's needs and it really helped her, she looked forward to church, so even though I was leery of big churches, it was good for her.

The best Bible study is to study the whole Bible in context. I studied for years, but when I decided to study the whole book I learned so much more. I did the New Testament first, then the Old Testament, took 3 years. Then started over again and taking even longer. Warren Wiersbe has great study books. Mark is a great one to start with, being the oldest NT book. Mike Winger has a great Mark study here on KZbin.

I missed the name (sorry bad with names) but to the woman who is a single mom with a kid who has autism 👏 I just have to say my nephew has autism and just recently found out he has cancer and I have watched him for a day before and I was struggling! Also may I add I have 5 kids and don’t struggle that much. I understand what you face and I agree with faith you are close to god and he is so your husband as he is the only one who could be giving you the strength you have to make is day to day in your stage in life! 👏👏👏💕💕💕💕(hope all that was correct wording and you take that as such a complement)

I prefer the podcast without a lot of cuts and B-roll. I can understand if you want your videos to have style, but in this case the conversation is the style. Sometimes less is more. Edit: Also I really like the framing and lights of your shot.

I just wanted to let you know that you have helped me tremendously! I was really looking for a bible or some other book to help me delve deep into the word and watching your videos has helped to simply grab a bible dictionary and break things down and just let the word marinate and really be able to comprehend what I am reading. I’m reading Romans and I literally was mind blown how jam packed it is and im only into the very 1st few verses. May God Bless you and your husband abundantly 🙏🏾

Great second episode, Faith. I'm in a charismatic church. I wasn't always, but I will say, there's definitely something different about being in a charismatic church. There's such a fire of the Holy Spirit there. I agree that some are pretty shady and fake but that's with any denomination really. But my church is authentic and truly moving in the Holy Spirit. So glad you discussed it. ❤️✝️

Their own little holy hill 😂😂😂. I actually went to a church like that. They were trying to be too hip and accepting of everyone. It was weird. Like their message wasn’t God’s message. It was their message. I left there quickly and found a church that makes me feel at home.

When I was 17 I went to the Mormon church and just couldn’t believe one hundred percent and they got upset with me and said “I was a investigator “ , a friend of mine went to a church of Christ and they wouldn’t accept him because he was divorced?

Feelings are the worse thing to use with study.
@HowtoFaithALife2 жыл бұрын
Feelings shouldn’t form our faith or be the sole basis by which me make decisions, but God is not afraid of feelings nor does He tell us to ignore our feelings. Our feelings actually tell us about our hearts sometimes things our brains want to ignore! Just some food for thought.

Tongues was always known languages, never unknown or sounds that are not words of a known language. The chaos of charismatics keep people in chaotic emotional lives living on emotional up and downs instead of wise grounding in God’s Word in context. Spiritual hearing comes from in context Bible study. Physical healing sometimes comes on earth, but more often in Heaven. “Petition the throne room”? Not in the Bible.

I do not know any churches that are a glimpse of Heaven these days! Most are so superficial there is no Godliness. I really don’t there are any real churches left in the US these days. How much of your church budget goes to orphans, widows, the least of these, what God says pure religion is?
@HowtoFaithALife2 жыл бұрын
@Tam4givin I hope you find a church that does.

See Jesus in a cool light? Parents today who know what is best know they worldly lights and concert culture is the worse thing for church. So sad she did not mention good Godly in context teaching!
@HowtoFaithALife2 жыл бұрын
@Tam4givin I took that as a given when people are “shopping” for a church they typically are trying to choose between multiple churches that have sound doctrine and teaching. But later I clarified in the comments section (see pinned comment) that I was specifically speaking to that situation.

How many single moms, widows, and orphans could be helped with the time and money you put into your studio and videos? 🧐
@HowtoFaithALife2 жыл бұрын
I actually do tithe my money I make on my channel towards just that! However, I would encourage you: don’t judge a book by its cover. You never know what has been given to me (actually a lot!) by people that want to fund a fun backdrop, books, bookshelves, etc. I have some of the best Patreons in the world. It’s easy to look at someone’s outside and make assumptions, but God looks at the heart and that’s a lot more telling. Maybe… just maybe…. This question you asked reveals something in your heart that might be totally worth talking to the Lord about! He loves you. Just like your name says, you are “4givin” and that’s all in His love.
