I'm almost 40... been playing since 2002... I've tried a lot of various lessons on YT, but this is the first channel which actually works for me. I don't know how you do this, maybe it's just the way you guys explaining things, maybe it's just your attitude or approach... but for the first time in my life I have a feeling that something has clicked and I'm getting better with every another lesson. Thank You guys! You are the game-changer for me!

Getting your ear trained to hear the notes is really helpful to build licks and find it up and down the fretboard. In my case, I made a jump when I got my ear to start really listening to what I'm playing.

It’s not just the great lessons Eddie, you are a genuinely likeable guy, and so easy to listen to. Some teachers give great lessons, but there’s just something missing in the presentation and it makes learning a little boring… or they have mannerisms that are distracting. You are just a really cool guy and the bonus is… you are an excellent teacher! Thanks buddy 😎

Good to see I am not the only one having to zone a bit into my fretboard topographies to hit it right on everywhere :))

Another awesome video from this guy. He packs more into a lesson than anyone on here. Playing for many years I was obviously aware of the repeating notes on the fretboard; however, I just considered them to be positionally convenient depending where you were on the neck. The tonality difference did not really jump out at me before. Also, when someone lays out a major scale riff the Allman Brothers instantly pops into my mind, especially when played in close proximity to a minor scale. Is that just me?

this is exactly where I am at with my guitar playing. Thank you for not mentioning 3rds, or 5ths. or flat 7s. I guess they are important, but I tune out when I hear that. Great ideas here, Thanks

Great tips, even though I knew most of the stuff. I got the most out of tip 3 because I have always wondered why does this note sound so great here but dead in another position. Getting to know the sweet spots of your guitar it's definitely the go, then you can focus (play more) in the sweet spots and just run through the not so sweet places. Thank you again Eddie. 👍

Hi Eddie, thank you for all your tutorials. I’m 63 and describe myself as a poor lead guitarist still trying to work out the fretboard and connect the dots. Something you said a few times in this video turned on a dim light and brightened it for me. I have been thinking for a long time about how do modes connect with scales, and how scales connect to chords and how chords connect to CAGED. You said about playing in the C shape or the A shape or playing in the G pattern.. can you tell me this please or point me to a video that explains this please.. when you are playing in G, are you playing in key of G or are you playing a G shape mode in the key of D or G shape in key of C .. or am I getting myself confused even more lol .. Thankyou for all your great videos 😊

I'm experienced and still find myself faking my way around the neck when improvising. Especially when playing fast.
