I sparred my coach and he only used his lead hand and still destroyed me lmao He’s also like 20 lbs lighter to me, it showed me how important a lead hand game is and how effective a stiff jab is.
@myboxingcoach2 жыл бұрын
😂 Next time maybe try to convince him just to use his back hand. Then again, he'll probably just switch stance and still do the job. Enough to make a grown man cry.

Perfect timing. My right hand always ends up getting bruised in my fights and it's still sore from my last one, and I'm fighting tommorow. Legend, Fran

I think usyk and bivol proved the lead hand is the most important in their last fights, especially bivol, the guys control of distance with his lead is perfect

Wow, I was born missing my right hand up to the wrist and love boxing. I always tried to learn how to use my hands because my reach is in my left hand, but I can hit with my right wrist. So the cross is short for me so I guess I switch to southpaw. I just think God is amazing to inspire you to share this thank you Fran!

I’m basically the same switching stances and lunges really our best weapon my best shot is switch left straight while dipping right shuffle right then left hook right kick it’s all I can land consistently because being one handed ur very predictable but can be done look at nick newell

I needed this my right hand is fractured and I’m fighting in 6 days, shame though I always spent so much time perfecting the one punch knockout the right cross.

Just today I've given the Beginner Boxing Toolkit book a full read, watched a few videos and I'm now on the bus, on my way to the gym. Never had I felt so confident in my boxing before.

Started going to an ABC here in the UK, and your vids have always been great in trying to bridge the technique gap with the other boxers.

Glad to help pal. There'll be ups and downs. Don't get too carried away with the ups, and don't get too upset at the downs 👍

Really useful video Fran, I dislocated my right shoulder at the end of November so when I get back to training it's going to be mainly lead hand for quite a while!

I use the terms "lead hand" and "strong hand", but that's because in Taekwondo we have strikes that use the back side of the hand.

Great video Fran, only just caught it 👍 I have a question, should the foot move before the hand or the hand before the foot? Thanks for all you do 🙏

@@myboxingcoach just with a jab in general, there is a debate about what should go first fist or foot in many martial arts and sword schools, I just wondered what your thoughts were 🙂

Not southpaw but my left is my dominant and punches feel better and stronger with my left is it weird to have my lead hand my dominant hand?

Are you going to do an analysis on Joshua vs. Usyk? I feel that you could have prepared Joshua better for the rematch than Robert Garcia.
@myboxingcoach2 жыл бұрын
Yes, maybe I will. I don't think it was a shortcoming of the trainer, he's top drawer. Some guys just have the beating of you and to be fair, Usyk is about as good a technical boxer as there is👍

Jim Driscoll cultivated his left to such a high degree , even the legendary Bruce Lee copied him , albeit in a southpaw stance .
