I never wanted to be a KZbinr. I wanted to be a film director, now I want to go into coding. I hope to get involved with film, social issues, while keep coding as my main thing. Thank you for sharing! Ms. Inoue.

Huge respect to Mayuko for her vulnerability and beautiful expressiveness. This wasn’t the main point of the talk, but you can’t blame people for encouraging risk-aversion: achieving life milestones like owning a home & raising children have become _almost impossible_ without a great career, especially in California.

very interesting to finally see a very open yet intriguing insight from a person in a similar path I’ve been in for the past several decades.

Wow I was watching this kind of casually but the ending really hit me hard, like suddenly you started talking directly to me. Those words about deserving to exist are really cool, I needed to hear that. I was just thinking about similar things. Exploring who you are, defining who you are, seeing the whole world in front of you. Thank you for sharing.

Would have loved to hear more about the transition from leaving the lucrative SWE life to becoming a KZbinr, nonetheless I admire your courage and willingness to follow your passion- even if it may not be the conventional route! (At least for Asian Americans)

I’m not Japanese but my kids are. And this gives me a perspective and insight on how they feel as Japanese Americans. Also a appreciation for their background.

All people are subject to certain restrictions by birth and upbringing. Life will be richer if you broaden your horizons, learn about different values. What a boring comment!
