This is the kind of journal that I really love. I started journaling in 2012 after my 23 year old son was killed by a distracted driver. I am so glad I did these as i felt like I had lost the entire 1st year but now I can go back and see all the things I did to cope and move forward. I now continue to journal adding things and photos and love revisiting them. Thank you for some new ideas. I am taking a 6 week trip to spend time with my biological family this summer, they live at the other end of the country from me and I would like to use a journal like this one. Thank you for sharing these ideas.

I noticed you said "visit your biological family " . I documented meeting my biological Father and my 4 half siblings, 7 years ago. Such a treasure to me. Enjoy your time with them !!

@@flamingogirl57 Thank you I did meet them when I was 26 I am now 65 lol so long ago. I have kept in touch and been out west a few times but only a day here and a day there with each of them except my younger sister she has been to visit us a few times and I stayed with her any time I was there. But last year i just really wanted to connect more as my older sister passed 2 years ago and I didn’t know her very well. So this year we have rented a place central to them all for a month. I can’t wait. I’m glad your reconnection went well also

@user-sz2xm8kq6s Oh wow... that is awesome ! I didn't find my biological family until my 60th birthday ,after the results of my gifted DNA test results came back. I had been on every registry I could get into to no avail. So now, almost 7 years later, I have talked to my Poppa, Father, every day on the phone and been up there every year. Poppa turns 93 in June, Good Lord willing. I also have 6 half siblings, Mother and Father never married. I'm the oldest of them all. Will be 67 in April. Enjoy your time, that sounds amazing !!

Some great journal prompts so thank you so much. I have purchased ribbon for my manual Adler typewriter my mother gave me 40 years ago so I'll be adding typed pages etc to my journal. I love the clickety click sound which always takes me back. Memories bring such comfort.

Such a great way to journal. I have just started bullet journaling mainly to track my health as I have numerous autoimmune and other diseases. I am wheelchair bound so have plenty of time! I have a spiritual journal and a daily journal similar to yours! I have been journalling since I was 15 and I am now 57. I was DEVASTATED when I had to get rid of my journals moving into an assisted living home. Literally boxes of them. Keep on journalling you are an inspiration despite all my years its always great to see how other people journal. 😊

A lot of people focus on a gratitude journal, which I try to do. However, I like your idea of the in/out page; as that focuses on being proactive in bringing positivity into our lives while reducing the negativity, all while being specific to ourselves individually. I’m excited to try this technique. Thanks again for another great video! 😊

Hi Johanna, thank you for sharing your ideas with us ❤️ What I am ‘tackling’ right now is organising my collection of ephemera and papers into journals. I don’t want to just throw it all away, so my goal for this year, for NOW and into the future is to just do the work. I have been on hiatus. You have inspired me to dive back in. Vicki 😊

A current mood board is a great thing to do. My tastes have definitely changed over the years and I wish I had documented all of the differences! Maybe I can think back and collect some things from memory and bring it up to date.
