YOU are a good source of aquarium information

hahah thanks!

Local knowledge is always best. You live in the same area, so knowledge about things like climate and water quality should be much the same. It's like when you go shopping for landscape plants, buy from a local nursery instead of one up in the mountains. Take care.

For sure. That is a great way of putting it

That was weird just confirmed perchance of nls float as you were feeding them that 😅

They seem to like NLS float enough although none of them are massive fans of pellets in general lol

With that method…you don’t need to quarantine sick fish

It depends a lot on the situation. Sometimes it makes sense to treat the whole lot

Except for the Nitrogen Cycle, Aquarium information is DIFFERENT from ONE "Know It All" to ANOTHER!!!!!!!!!!!! Look at your Tank. I have a Super RED Asian Arowana too. I don't mix him with South American Cichlids like Oscars. My Arowana is living with a Siamese Tiger Fish. Asian Arowana with Oscars? Just STUPID Man! You are Pretentious! Thumbs Down!
@Rand0m113s Жыл бұрын
What is wrong with arowana and Oscar’s together? If they can live with peace and harmony…,then why does it matter?
@leomarlonestrada5954 Жыл бұрын
@@Rand0m113s Isn't it obvious? This practice began when people kept the Silver Arowana with Oscars. The Silver Arowana is from South America so it makes sense. But an Asian Arowana with South American Cichlids is just ridiculous. Sure, they look good together but it is not meant to be. It is like mixing Ice Cream with Ketchup.

I am sorry you feel that wat/ Asian arowana are far more suited to being kept with american cichlids for the most part than silvers. But the idea of biotopeing is certainly an interesting subject. I hope that you are doing well

@@theaquariumprojectnz "I am sorry you feel that wat/ Asian arowana are far more suited to being kept with american cichlids for the most part than silvers." I apologize. I don't get the logic of your statement. Silver Arowanas are South American, right? So it is only appropriate for them to be housed with South American Cichlids because there is a high probability that these fish see each other in the wild. Asian Arowanas on the other hand are, Asian(?) They don't encounter South American Cichlids in their natural habitat. So it just doesn't make sense for an Asian Arowana to be housed with South American Cichlids. I know that most fish in home aquariums are farm raised and seldom we can see wild caught ones. But still, even in an artificial environment like a home aquarium, we need to follow certain rules of nature. An Asian Arowana with South American Cichlids just sounds ridiculous to a PURIST like me.
