I've been using this strategy from Day 1!! 🥳 I hope you this video helps you plan your next trip, or helps you discover some new adventures in your local area that you would have never heard of before otherwise! 😁I've got three more sit down talkie videos just like this coming out soon! But in the meantime - I'm off to go spend a few days on a 100 Mile Thru-Hike, wish me luck! Thanks for your support! -Dave xx

Great info. I use Komoot on all my walks. I often plan my own walks on the computer, make collections so they are easy to find, and sometimes also copy the link to my calendar on the day I am planning to walk. And then I follow the routes on the phone app. I also download them on the phone for offline use in case of bad reception 😊

How do you know where to park? I think it is the most important thing to start.

I prefer more unknown. If I know exactly everything, they it spoils the adventure. The point is to be out there and to not be absolutly sure, to make mistakes, and figure out solutions...

Thanks for this, I use OS maps but that’s obviously UK only! All trails would be great for checking out hikes in Europe 👍

Another great video mate! Congrats on 2k subs too! Just thought I’d comment and maybe give some advice - if you didn’t know already - about how to fix the glitching with Mac screen recordings on videos. Basically it’s to do with Variable Frame Rate (VFR) on the recordings. Take your screen recordings into an app like ‘Handbrake’ and transcode them to Constant Frame Rate (CFR) and it should fix the problem! Hope this helps mate, keep the videos coming! 🔥🔥

Handbrake was a lifesaver for me when I was editing some tutorial videos a while back haha

Thanks Mate! Cool to see you down here in the comments, thanks for the info too I’ll deffo look into that for the future! Cheers for the support too, it’s been great fun making these vids 😁

Better still, get the screen recorder to record at a constant frame rate. Transcoding video is slooooow.

Hey..really enjoying you videos. 👍👍....with the all trails app dose it have voice navigation? ..im thinking of getting the pro version but I don't want to be holding my phone looking at where im going I just want to put my ear buds in and off I go. Thanks
@DavidPMcEntee2 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure it does! I'm afraid, it does tend to send you little notifications when you've gone OFF the trail but other then that I don't think it does! Sorry I can't be more useful!
