This is how I use topo maps and physical scouting to find areas that turkeys often frequent. Hope this helps y'all hill country hunters find a big ole gobbler or two this spring.

Other than the trash along the public/private line (what IS the matter with people?!?), that country and its terrain are GORGEOUS. There seem to be plenty of turkeys working the area, and I'll bet it's LOADED with deer in the fall. I learned a lot from your analysis of the various ridge tops and creek bottoms. As always, thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience.

Can’t wait to see your first videos. Turkey season is almost two months away here in Connecticut, plus there’s still 6 to 10 inches of snow in the woods where I live. Good luck this season and keep the videos coming.

Sir; I would bet your interested in the mountain laurel you found for the upcoming archery season. Looks as though it had a sharp transition line as well. Many parts of the country, laurel is hard to beat for cover purposes. God Speed to you!

Anytime I'm scouting I always try to wear something orange because poachers I worry that you get that brown shirt on you might stroll in there and catch some lead from some Hatfield or McCoy looking some b**** it's going to try to look for an easy deer it's kind of reminds me of a brown deer with that shirt ye got on somebody with a 50k I might think the same thing you got to be careful buddy

This might be a dumbass question, but how do determine the difference between Turkey scratch and small amounts of hog or armadillo scratch? I have of this types of scratch hunting in Texas
@CatmanOutdoors
@CatmanOutdoors 3 жыл бұрын
I covered that in my last scouting video. Armadillos usually dig small holes, that’s the first thing I look for. Also turkeys will kick the leaf litter back in one direction into a pile.
