Oh, my goodness, Frankie is such a good little girl! She even stands up when she needs to in order to make measuring easier! She's so adorable! God bless her. As for the harnesses, the only one I trust is the last one because it's attached to the collar. I've seen way too many, even supposedly "escape-proof" ones, turn out to be useless, putting dogs in harm's way because they can get out of them, or the clips don't hold, and they pop open, again, allowing them to escape.

Thanks for the information on this video 📹 very helpful in getting my puppy safely into his harness, and he's so cute in it.I can walk him safely. My apartment building is semi gated but he's so energetic if I ever got off a normal collar and leash, which I do still have. I wouldn't be able to catch up. My knees are too arthritic and I can't run well anyway. Huge help.

I'm having trouble with all harness. I have bought 3 so far. I have a mini toy aussie who can houdni out of anything. Biscuit has a tiny head but alot of fur. he tends to be able to back out of the harnesses. both feet come out and then the head or visa versa. Any suggestions?

Which ones have you bought? I have a Pitbull and she had a step in harness and backed out of it and almost ran into the road, but I got her an h shaped harness like the 4th one in the video, and as long as it's adjusted snug (not tight) she can't back out of it

Re-watch from 3:20. Look for the loop for the lead and hold it up. My harness for the car was different again, with a cross over across the chest, but this part helped me work it out.

The sizing is typically generalized which makes a proper fit difficult regardless of how it’s placed imho.

A tip I can add is when putting on a snuggly fitting harness, keep your finger between the buckle and the dog’s skin when fastening the buckle - it helps prevent pinching the skin.

Hello I have a pitlab mix. We bought him a step in harness. I know harness are designed for pulling and he really likes to run. I usually get on the bike so that I'm able to go at his pace. I have noticed that hes a lot faster when hes pulling with his collar and not with his harness. Does anybody know why?

Maybe that your harness is uncomfortable or stuff. If it IS comfortable then I guess that harnesses have more control..?

I have a pitlab mix as well. He’s about 2 months old now and I tried walking him with the leash and collar but he doesn’t respond well to it and mostly tries to pull away or either shake out of it or bite the leash. When I put the (step-in) harness on him though he does really well and walks along side me. Occasionally he’ll stop on his own and just sit down and take a break or the occasional curious sniff. Lol. Other than that I’ve had better luck with the harness and when he’s inside I just let him run free because he usually only goes 2 ft away from me at the most.

Measure the Dog and go to the store and find the harness with your measurement range. Get home.....then adjust the harness while it's on the dog.

Hii....!!! Y'all So I am a new dog parent so I don't know much about so I wanted to know if it is right to get my 2 month puppy his own harness I mean I got one for him but hasn't used it yet as I don't know when to make him wear that Dog discription- I adopted him from a nearby street where he was sitting on the corner during the rain he wasn't able to move that time so I decided to get him home he is 2 months now and has got his first vaccination yesterday he is a cute baby but the only issue is cause of him being through this much he doesn't trust anyone easily but only me he get afraid of any thing and which makes me sad that how will he survive further and would he even like to wear a harness or collar😔I love him so much I cannot express that tbh. But I want him to be strong and fearless which I don't know how to make him...🙂💔 Oh yaa.....!!! I named it momo last week when I got him he is a white healthy puppy..❤️✨

The instructions for the padded chest harness is wrong. The wider part of the plate goes at the front, not at the back. The wider section is to provide more support through the shoulders and chest.
