my car has been sitting in my driveway for 3 years because I can not afford a shop to fix it and am dyslexic and A.D.D. so dont have the patience to read how to fix the problems. I am very hands on and great at building / fixing things. Your videos are amazing, to the point, and exactly what I needed to fix my car. You helped me fix my overheating problem, my shaky idling, my shaky acceleration, and my a\c all by my self (while 5 months pregnant!!). You also gave me a lot of info about caring for my car i never even thought about (like the importance of waxing). You are the best!!!! I will be recommending your videos to all my friends.

I would use jack stands always just for the peace of mind, even if the suspension doesn't travel far enough down to hit you, I bet it sure would scare the crap out of you if the jack gave suddenly. Also, if you have your arm up somewhere like getting a top bell housing bolt or something it could easily be broken. But great videos Scotty!

Looks easier than using a vice and a socket. One thing you forgot to mention is to be careful not to loose any of the bearings is the end caps, and it's not a bad idea to put a dab of grease in them before you pop them on. Reminds me of my old exploder, cept the U-joints in the back were completely seized up, made quite a bit of a thumping whenever I accelerated.

Thanks Scotty! My '99 GMC Sonoma was shaking on the way home after buying it. No mention of it in the ad though but what do you expect for $400. I was wondering if the U joints could've been the issue so I looked it up. This is the first U joint video I could find that had no BS. Interestingly, you're the only mechanic I know who does driveshafts outside, no sweat.

Awesome video Scotty! just like every other video you have...short, to the point, no fuss, nothing! just Git-R-done!

Hey Scotty, Really enjoy your videos. I have a 2010 Honda Accord Crosstour. It has a slight shake or skip upon acceleration, especially when under a load like uphill. Runs smooth down hill, or when you decelerate. Thanks in advance.

Great video Scotty!! I have a feeling its my driveshaft that's causing the vibration (only vibrating when I give it throttle...doesn't matter the speed I'm going), so I'm going to jack her up and take a look. Thanks for the helpful video!!

Great stuff Scotty. You make it look so easy! Can I add my penny's worth? Before undoing the four bolts, I mark the position of the flange on the diff unit. I used to use Tippex, but it got wiped off too easily, so I went over to hacksawing a light groove on the two parts. That way you make sure it goes back exactly how it was. - Rick in London
