How did you chip it? Would it be a good idea to add a secondary bevel to make the edge less prone to chipping?

Hi! I chipped it in an overnight fire preparation. It was already dark, my hands were cold and I let fall the knife on the ground, on a rock... For the tasks I usually do, I do not like secondary bevel. A scandi zero grind or a convex zero is what I found appropriate and usefull along the years. In my opinion Secondary bevel can be a great idea for a one-tool-option or for any knife dedicated to tasks that required less wood carving precision capability but needs to last longer whatever happens. My personal experience drive me to prefer a zero grind in almost any application from bushcraft to more survival oriented blades, I believe is also matter of the techniques I use. Finally, the steel is also another important factor to take in consideration. I have use along the last 20 years very different steels, and usually I can judge how far I can push a specific steel with a certain grind. Sorry for the long answer. Hope to help.
