As with all of these check its a good idea to have a pad and paper to hand to make notes of any steps you complete should you need to refer back to them later.
What you will need:
* Cross head screwdriver depending on your phone socket
* Alternative Microfilter
* Alternative RJ11 or DSL Cable
* Alternative Router that has the ability to using Zen Credentials.

My problems with my lne were cured by a Fibre connection and getting rid of the copper ADSL, nothing else worked and finding the problems that caused dropping connections on that copper from around the house to the exchange seemed endless and were never long-lasting fixes.
