THANK YOU. I'm a first-time sewing machine owner, and had SO MUCH TROUBLE with this!! I asked my mom, my best friend who has the same machine (she buys pre-wound bobbins), and watched 5 You Tube tutorials before I found this one. Everyone else (including Singer instructions) said just to wrap it around that cylinder/disc piece, not that it needed to be in that tight notch between the top cylinder and the disc. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU. PS - in your introduction, my mom had that woody-style sewing machine over your right shoulder. I laughed when I saw it, I remember her sewing our clothes, Halloween costumes, curtains, you name it on that thing!

Your comment helped me more than the video. Thank you so much

I appreciate videos about operator errors. I also appreciated the one about the spool not put on correctly. I liked the part 3 about tension. My mother and my home ec teacher (1960's ) never said a word about tension, relationship of thread and needle, and maintenance. Maybe that's why I quit sewing for 40 years. Keep up the good work.

Thank you, thank you, I loved that someone out there is willing to teach us sewers how to fix problems on our machines. What a gift. PS do ever work on Babylock machines. I have taken mine to get fixed to the same people who I bought it from 4 times going on 5 if I think about it. I asked them to fix a beeping sound that goes off when I am sewing. Well they took it gave me the I fixed and when I brought it home right away did the beeping sound. It goes so fast when I am sewing I can never tell what it wants. I made sure all was connected and it stopped for a while and when I started sewing again the text day it had a very soft beeping sound and I thought to check the connections and pushed everything in and it stop for a few minutes and it started again. Well I know it is hard to say what it could be??? Well again thank you for teaching us. I loved the one where to sand off any sharp edges on your bobbin holder thing. I never thought about that making my thread snap.:)

Thank you for this video! My husband accidentally fidgeted with the tension disc for my bobbin winder, so now, even though I thread it correctly, my bobbin thread is not evenly wound. If you could make a video addressing that issue, I would greatly appreciate it. I couldn't find any information regarding the bobbin winder tension disc :(

Thanks! Great video and easy to follow. Suggestion for a future video- thread is not looping in the fabric (singer confidence quilter).

Okay, what if it still doesn't thread properly. My thread starts at the top of the bobbin, goes down to the bottom and never fully goes to top again. Then it starts a bottom heavy pyramid of thread, which is also not a clean tight bobbin.

I had the same problem!!! But what I did was out the ratty bobbid into the thread pole and use it ro transfer and wind into another bobbin. It worked!!

Do you have any tips for drop in bobbin machines Both of my Brothers are like this and it seems like something is pulling that shouldn't. The bottom (bobbin) threads look awful when sewing. Thanks and I love the Bible trivia!!!

What’s one of the best sewing machines out there that you would recommend I feel like the newer plastic ones are not that great
@SewingMachineRepairGuy4 жыл бұрын
It is hard to pick one, also I haven't been inside many of the new ones to make a fair judgement. But, the new ones will not last 30+ years like the old ones do.
@hummingbirdlady114 жыл бұрын
The outside plastic shell isn't what's important: it's the inside parts and internal frame that make a sturdy machine. Currently in July 2020, most models are out of stock and there are a few sellers who have upped the prices on available machines to outlandishly high prices compared to their original prices before Covid-19 and the surge in home mask sewing.

Total sewing newbie here, what do you do with the thread on a bad bobbin? Is it a total loss? Is there a quick way to take the thread off a bad bobbin? Thank you!
