Very cool to see the inner workings of the good and bad switches.

Thanks for watching guys! Some of you asked about where to get the switches and fuses. Sorry, I forgot to but the links in the video. I have updated the description section with links to the switches and fuses. The link for the switches is a pack of the 3 switches that you'll need to do the job. Thanks again for watching! Sorry about the music 😂🤣 I was just learning about KZbin and I was having trouble finding acceptable royalty free music at the time so I pick the first one I could download! 💩😬I have since figured that out and I have some new videos coming out with better music. Thanks for the feedback. 💯👍

I did my continuity tests with the switches still installed I could hear the clicks and have 0 ohms so my switches are good but it doesn’t trip the break right away it goes for weeks or a month then will trip randomly then I reset the breaker and it works again.

My also trip my circuit braker box. When I went to buy the switch, they had 2 options normally open and normally closed, does it matter which door switch I buy? And is the third switch the same as the other 2? Thank you.

If you want to pause the microwave you need to hit pause on the key pad before opening the door. The microwave WILL pause if you just open the door but the problem is the power is still going to those switches and if one, the top or bottom switch disengages first it sends a power serge to the middle switch. The middle switch runs the key pad and functions. 99% of the time the middle switch burns and it is because someone opens the door while the machine is running without hitting PAUSE first to shut the switches off before opening the door. Hit pause then open...no more problems. Or let the time run out of course.

Great Video. Sadly the switches are between 30.00-50.00 each from the manufacturer or most appliance parts places. And with our labor rate usually @ 40.00-70.00 per hour (because we don't work for free) In Reality if you have it apart, rather than taking it apart again you should just replace them all. Otherwise you risk the dreaded come back... AKA "Since you worked on it, it stopped working again" Because the manufacturers want you to replace the appliance even when it is only 2 years old. Sadly (and WITH SOME ANGER) The 3 Switches alone are priced close to 1/2 the price of a new microwave, not including diagnoses and Port to Port travel. AND if you need a circuit board they are usually NLA! We all know the switches in 2023 are just a 6.00 part. Planned Obsolescence at its finest.

Agree. You can get a new one for $219 now. Mine is doing this and I hate tossing a giant appliance in the garbage if it's a simple switch or fuse. So frustrating. Is this price you paid for these Mike?
@johnbramsey Жыл бұрын
The price is more like $8. Other repair videos have a direct link to Amazon where you get all three switches.
@youknow5569 Жыл бұрын
@@johnbramsey You are correct, Yes from amazon they are only 8.00. From the manufacturer they charge 30.00+ dollars
@johnbramsey Жыл бұрын
@@youknow5569 yes, I did see that price. Hard to believe people would pay that when a little research shows much better prices elsewhere.
