Troubleshooting and attention to detail is needed in hospital pharmacy nowadays. The amount of IT and computerized order sets and procedures is over the roof . Just noticed my Samsung side-by-side wasn't making ice in the lower ice maker. You could hear it going through its cycle but the tray wouldn't fill with water. Pulled the power and 33E showed up. Put that into Google and your video showed up. Excellent step by step tutorial. Going to order the part soon and get it fixed. Thank you!

Awesome video! I'm getting error code 33E but it's the top ice maker not working. The lower ice maker works. Will replacing this heater fix the top ice maker or is there a separate heater for the top ice maker and if so, do you know the part #? My model is RF323TEDBSR/AA.

Hi qwiksilver, Please keep in mind that I'm NOT an Appliance Technician and don't have all the answers. I assume the top ice maker has a heater; but I have no experience replacing it. If it does have a heater, I have to believe it has a different part number. I recommend researching it further or contacting an appliance repair company. @DIY-Saver Thanks! I spoke to Samsung and unfortunately with my specific model you cannot replace just the heater on the top ice maker, the entire auger assembly needs replaced. Part number is DA97-12540G.

At 5:26 on the video when you're putting in the new water filler tube assembly, I noticed you did not have to plug in the plug on the end? It appears you just slid in the replacement part. Can you please confirm?

What is the part number for the ice maker

The replacement part for my lower ice maker assembly is DA97-07603B. But this appears to be an updated part number. I recommend going to an online replacement parts site (e.g. partsdr.com) and use their "Does this fit my model?" feature to verify that it fits your fridge. Hope this helps.

our ice maker, fills with water, produces ice cubes, but does not dump them. When i hit the reset button, it goes through the motion of dumping the cubes, refilling with water, then has a 2 tone beep and does not cycle again until i hit the reset again suggestions welcome?

Try unplugging the refrigerator for 5 minutes and plug it back in, to see if a reset helps.

I have no error code. Crap still not working. Top and bottom ice maker. Samsung suck. Yes my water line works fine. 😡

I did replace my lower ice maker once. The top ice maker is another issue. I have to defrost it about once every 3 months. It's a long drawn out process since I discovered it has an ice build-up on the inside of the ice maker. I've found that I actually have to disconnect the power after defrosting to get the upper ice maker to start working again.
