Not changing the world or anything, just an old guy who was raised in a fairly cold atmosphere. Next, we nead a vid on how to put a PPP zipper back together. Good luck with that. Installed and test with a little blast. Yup.

Otto, the king of recycling and rebuilding. Over the years I have seen you fix more things than I can remember, most of them would have been thrown away by many other folks. But you Otto were taught how to keep things going long past their "time", to give them a fresh start.

I am so happy to see that the family has come back on even if it’s just on segments in KZbin. I really enjoyed the series and watch rerun after rerun. These little episodes seem to show more of the background and I really enjoyed that. I hope everybody stays safe, and God bless 1:45 1:45

My dad used to make a huge mess in his garage, in fact it was always a huge mess. He blamed me and my brother on it but it was his mess. One time I cleaned up the whole garage while he was at work. He had a conniption. He couldn't find stuff for months. I just put everything away. Moral of the story: never put anything away if you weren't the one who took it out. He was "angry".
@josephmorgan37155 ай бұрын
HAH!! I did that once too! I found where he hid the "Kesslers" adult beverage! That's why he spent so much time "puttering around". I was sworn to secrecy and banished from that area.

Keeping starter and alternator overhaul kits in stock is a must when you live remotely. Great job on this easy repair. I remember my father replacing the water pump on the truck when he took us to Boy Scout summer camp. The camp staff drove him into town to get a new pump.

Good tip on getting the starter bolt to break loose. Ditto on the brush holder cleanup. Altogether a great video.
@BrianDoherty-e8s3 ай бұрын
OK, OK, good fix. I use anti seize on bolts that are hard to get out -- or so stuck they break. Then next time, as you know, they come out with no drama. Silver, nickle-based anti seize, is good to use where steel bolts go into aluminum. Nickle is less likely to cause corrosion than copper-based anti seize. You have to be a little more careful using anti seize as it lubricates the threads -- so on critical bolts that have torque specs reduce the torque spec by about a third so you don't strip out the aluminum threads. This stuff is a life saver around exhaust studs and exhaust pipe joints. And don't thin out anti seize with fuel or oil -- if you do the fuel or oil can carbonize and bind the threads on hot exhaust parts. Nice work, Hoss!
