Late to the party but I've had this figure since I was '78, for the last 20+ years his head has been stuck on with blu-tac...I followed your instructions apart from pushing the elastic into the chest cavity then hooking it with wire with a small hook and also I used a wider elastic which meant I could just knot it a few times to hold the neck post in place. I've now been able to give it to my almost 5 Yr old and he loves it. Thank you

Good video use of the wire is interesting. The first Dynamic Physique dolls didn't have sharpshooter position, that wasn't added until 1981 and was the last the last doll modification to Action Man

Thanks for the nice comment, I did not know that was the year it was added myself, just went by the date stamp on the back, thanks for the info and for watching:)

Gary's Action Man Channel Its also at this time that they changed the 1 piece dome shape connection at the top of the thigh to 2 piece's because the 1 piece was prone to breaking. Ive had around 300 "Dynamic Physique" Action Men pass through my hands and only ever seen 1 with the Sharp Shooter neck and 1 piece thigh connection on the same figure!

I have an Actionan that have loose joints. Do you know if it is possible to restore it? It does not seem to use elastic as a Gi Joe muscle body does.
@TheSkullReviews5 жыл бұрын
Older action man figures use elastic, ones from 1978 only use elastic for the neck
@IuriFiedoruk5 жыл бұрын
@@TheSkullReviews what I did, was to add small paper pieces inside the joints, so it will hold it better. But not the most elegant sollution.

The use of the thick elastic at the end there is a very interesting method but obviously only possible if you're using flat elastic to attach the neck post, i use 3mm cylindrical elastic with 3 knots, the 1's i did 7 years ago are still good so it holds up just fine, ive also got 10 metres of the 3mm cylindrical elastic to use up so wont be trying that method for a while. LOL very nice figure btw, what did you pay?
@TheSkullReviews6 жыл бұрын
Yup everyone has their way, this is just what I ended up doing with parts on hand, it does work very well though, nice and tight, head and body was bought from the same seller 75 dollars total, not a great deal but very nice shape.

That head has to have been reflocked. Look at his hairline and sideburns. Not right there.
