Instructional video on how to restring a Vintage Action Man. I've only done this a few times so please forgive me if I'm a little rusty. Enjoy!! Soundtrack: A Bridge Too Far Overture

Brilliant job, you made it look so easy. Always puzzled as a kid on how they used that elastic inside A.M. Wish I'd kept all my A.M. stuff had loads.

I used to use this method. Then I decided to buy a "restringing kit" from eBay that's similar to the factory installed elastic in the dolls. The bloody kit failed on the arm elastic - it broke. Seller sent me replacements, the leg hooks weren't strong enough. An arm hole cracked. Earlier tonight I tried again with the replacement kit. The neck hook went into my forefinger as I was attempting to fix the head on and damn nearly went through to the bone. The neck hole was also damaged. I think I'll stick to the method shown in the video. I'm extremely cross having wasted money on what essentially was an extremely dangerous job. If it wasn't for my Girlfriend pulling the hook out of my finger I'd have had to ring for an ambulance during a bloody Pandemic and I'm supposed to be shielding! If anyone thinks I'm exaggerating try stabbing your finger with a nail and driving it onwards with immense pressure. I'm annoyed that a rather nice Hybrid EE doll has been damaged now and all because of some "easy to use restringing kit" for a fiver. And my forefinger is hurting.
