How to Fix Audio & Sound Issues on Xbox Series X (All Options)

Here are some steps to fix audio and sound issues on Xbox Series X:
Check that your TV audio is not muted and is at a reasonable volume. Ensure that your external or built-in TV speakers are properly connected and turned on.
Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide. Select Profile & system - Settings - General - TV & display options. Select Video fidelity & overscan. Under Display, select HDMI. Run the Audio setup tool. Highlight the audio setup option you wish to use and then press the A button to begin the audio test.
If you’re experiencing audio or video sync issues when using surround audio formats, consult your TV, receiver, or soundbar manufacturer for performance specifications. Be sure to review their latest support documentation and release notes.

The problem I have if my Netflix when I load in the audio glitches at first then after like 10 minutes it fixes it self it also affects my party

For everyone make sure the chat mixer in your Xbox guide like where u would join a party go to audio and make sure the middle one is like half way

My Xbox won’t stay on Dolby atmos. It used to stay in Atmos 24/7. Now it only goes to Atmos with stuff that has it built in. Any suggestions

If you're on Xbox and you can't hear your or you're trying to watch prime video or using any other app and there is no sound, go to your "settings" and then to "volume and audio output" and then go to "additional options" and turn off "Allow passthrough" if you have this turned on it does exactly what it says which is allowing the audio to pass through. Meaning you're not going to hear it.

Honestly ive had this problem since ive switched from my hyper cloud 2, to my astros literally as soon as i started playing games id get this audio spaz where its pretty much just the sound cut up and killing my ears i have to turn my controller off each time n un plug my mic. Its gotten so horrendous now that i literally cant play games on my Xbox without it happening theres no way its my headset its new only 2 years old it works completely fine on my laptop. Any1 have any suggestions? I really dont want to buy a new headset bc this one is really good but ive tried everything yet its still messed up.

None of these tips helped both Bluetooth xbox headset and other wired headphones i get a crackle or sound stopping on and off only fix that sometimes works is restarting the console i own both series x and s i dont have this issue with S i highly recommend not buying a series x. I also own a ps5. That being said ill probably never go xbox again as xbox has had this issue since launch and never fixed it im guessing its a hardware issue but that only means Microsoft decided never to adress this problem. Ive yet to have problems wity the ps5.
