Battery life cycles are counted by the battery chip. The deleted log file only helps you display messages. Whenever the system ISO updates, it will automatically come back. Physically, the battery life cycle does not change! It will only work to remove a warning message, so you can sell it to another person by lying to them.

I tried this with a 2016 macbook pro, with 1800 cycles. the "service soon" disappeared, and the cycle number is still there in 1800 but now it says that is normal. that means in a way that the battery is ok now?. like brand new?. thanks a lot.

@@miskatchowdhury9759 hi there, oh 830 is pretty fine, so far I'm started to do something different, I plug it , and I use it on 100% all day long. Doing that it counts always like the same cycle. 2 or 3 times a week I leave it to get down to 0%. That way I keep the cycles under control. That's what the apple guys said. Plan B is to change the battery, but that cost 600 euros, cos the battery is connected with the keyboard. Gosh. So, a new one cost like 1000, it doesnt make sense, it's better to buy a new one. So, chech that battery trick, and you will be fine. I'm doing well and believe me I work with 3d game renders video renders and heavy stuff and so far I'm ok.

Yes I know replacing battery cost a lot and that doesn’t make any sense and I don’t want to change it now. so if my laptop cycle reach to limit like 1000 according to Apple does that mean it will stop working not gonna work at all? @@miskatchowdhury9759 no, actually, right now im in 2100 cycles, and I still have the msg "service recommended", in fact, I have a super old that it has like 8 years, and it still working fine, a little slow, but the battery it´s ok, i mean, it doesn´t last too much, but it works. the thing is, if you have to many cycles you will get a message. But that doesn´t mean that you have to change it. I didn´t, and I won´t lol. what the messages mean?, well it means that the battery in time will last less, that´s all. I just wanted to do the trick and put the cycles back to 0, but there´s no way to do that, Even if we could, that won´t mean that the battery is new again. so, don´t worry. remember that 1 cycle is when you go from 0% to 100%. so if you keep it plugged all the time it will always be on 100%. (the same cycle). so if you don´t wanna reach the 1000 cycles so fast, you can do that, many people do. and 2 or 3 times a week just let it go to 0%. it´s pretty crazy, to have the battery and the rest of the keyboard on the same block, is nuts. I even asked for the new ones, and they also have the same battery system all connected to the keyboard. so, i´m thinking that next time I´ll go for the new Imac. oh and another thing download a temperature control app, i´m using one called "magican paster" it´s not a known one, but works super fine. so if you feel that is too hot, you can control that, close it and wait. Im using it in Celsius, more than 70, or 85, could be dangerous, so keep an eye on that. But don´t worry, you are in around 800 cycles, you still have time. and as I said, I have a super old one and it still work, thats why I keep buying macbooks, they last a lot hehe

sir I have a macbook pro 2018, Lately my macbook randomly shuts down when working on it. I can work on it for about 2 hours, shut it down, but when I want to start it again later the same day, it will start and immediately after login turn back off. 2013 MacBook Air...brand new battery installed yesterday because of the Service Warning...recalibrated the battery last night and expected the warning to go away...it didn't...tried resetting the SRM or whatever that is...didn't work...tried your idea...also didn't work. Service Recommended warning is still there. I have TWO CYCLES on my battery. It is NOT about to die.

Hello all, I am hoping to get some help here. I have a Macbook Air (2020) M1. I recently replaced the logic board and the fingerprint sensor. The repair went well and computer is working as it should now HOWEVER, the battery now shows "Service Battery" and macbook is NOT charging. The cycle shows only 57 and macbook is fairly new so not sure what happen. I have heard that on new iphones, it will give you an error message when replacing batteries but this isnt the case on my macbook. All i did per logic board replacement instructions is disconnect battery internally and thats all. Any help will be greatly appreciated as the normal SMC reset procedure will NOT work on this macbook (shift+option+contro+power for 10 secs). When I try this method, the macbook turns on after 4-5 secs of me holding down all 4 buttons.
