How to fix BLUETOOTH issue in yamaha receiver?

Bluetooth name just displayed on panel but without the ICON as the manual says.
Done several times pressing the MEMORY to pair but still no luck.
NO Yamaha bluetooth name on any of my devices. S8, S9, s10, realMe, tabs etc..

I forgot about that button on the receiver, luckily for me I just had to hold it down for three seconds and that got it working thank you

Hit the settings and make sure nothing else is connected. Press settings and disconnect whatever is connected. That fixed it for me. God bless

That support forums exists and folks seek help online is evidence that manufacturers are incapable of publishing clear guides on how to use their products. In 50 years of using over a 1,000 products and software, never have I seen a helpful "manual." The focus is on the WHAT and not the HOW. So all "user guides"--without exception--are glorified feature lists. My Yamaha HTR0-4066 receiver came with a bluetooth module but no steps on how to pair it with another device. Pressing it has blue light flash three times then off. No setup configuration or pressing the Memory button works to pair the receiver to my Samsung Galaxy S22 phone. I do not believe there are any actual technical writers...or maybe the industry is crammed with sadists.

We found that even when the receiver is correctly set to pair an iPhone 11 running the latest iOS 16.2 could not see the receiver until we power cycled the phone then the receiver was listed under ‘misc’ and when selected did pair successfully. Also the receiver could not find any WiFi devices until a wired network was connected. After the WiFi was connected to the WAP the wired network can be removed.

On mine I had to enable Bluetooth from the Setup menu (NOT the Options menu. It's two different menus for some strange reason). Bluetooth was set to OFF in Setup which makes it completely unresponsive in Options. Setting it to ON fixed it. Edit: and THEN I had to go to OPTIONS - Disconnect. Very unintuitive...

If you have the remote make sure receiver is set to Bluetooth and then hold memory button on remote (play button) and it should show up on your phone or device

Sharing WHAT to do and not including the steps on HOW to do it is not helpful. How can one get "Bluetooth" to appear in the receiver's display? I have pressed every possible configuration of buttons on my Yamaha HTR-4066 receiver and its remote, without success. The YBS-11 blutooth module blinks 3 times then does off.

Ahh hold the bluetooth button on your remote. And it will start pairing

urs is RX-V383, should be the same as my V385. use a monitor or tv to display SET-UP page (press SET-UP on ur remote) --> BLUETOOTH --> turn on RECEIVE or TRANSMIT, then press MEMORY BUTTON on the remote until *SEARCHING...* appears on ur V383, then do the rest with ur fone!

This fixed it for me! The only thing I would add is that you only need to go to BLUETOOTH->turn on RECEIVE. After you do that, pushing and holding the MEMORY button to pair your device should work.

It’s a bad product. If any other device is in range that has ever connected to it then it will mess up. You have to scream at your entire family to cut off their Bluetooth.

I do not understand in video what explained. 1st we have to select Bluetooth on AVR and press for 3 seconds than select USB than again select BT and press for 10 seconds. But on AVR Display indication is same no change on Display. ?

I have the yamaha WXC-50 music streamer . My cell phone looses connection in the same room.. Yamaha is not the quality it wonderful was . Getting a HiFi Rose music streamer , had enough issues . Also your friend should have been there for you not texting 😒 . You see his reflection on your receiver texting , not being excited for you making a video . Good luck . Must be all about him . I

Press Bluetooth on the remote. Hold down Memory button for 3 seconds. Now turn on the Bluetooth function on YOUR device and select from the list. Use 0000 pass key if you have too.

Make sure the reciver is on bluetooth and your phones bluetooth is on. Hold the memory button on the remote to the receiver and after a few seconds you should see the name of your receiver on your pairing list. Connect and you're in!

Well its very simple.. connect your TV to receiver via ARC HDMI, this will help in seeing menu on tv screen. Then click on options button on remote. You will see option called pairing on TV screen, select that and pair it once you see Yamaha receiver on your phone ( if you are wanting to pair a phone). Thats all! Enjoy your music
