Never ever, ever just drop or even let the caliper hang from the brake line! Mechanic wire or even a brake caliper hanger will prevent ruining the brake line. And sandpaper is a much better way to remove glazing from brake pads.

Brake pad glazing is when you press the brake pedal lightly and start braking 100m before you eventually need to stop. Just do 3 rounds of moderate braking from 100kmh to 30kmh And then 3 rounds of 80% braking from 70kmh to complete stop That's the manufacturer brake pad bedding procedure and the glazing will be gone

Zero lubrication anywhere. Apply thing coat to all touching points where pads sit in bracket then add thin coat of brake lube grease to the outer backs where they touch the caliper. Also if you s uff up rotors take pads out and lay on some 36-50 grit sand paper on flat surface and scuff the shine off the face then break them back in using normal braking . Don't do the jam the brakes hard to put some heat jn them as some people claim. Basically current pad tech,unless marked on boxes, are ceramic based.

Everyone talking shit about the hanging brake line is a troll. Of course I personally don't let it hang, how ever it'll be alright. There's been times were my "hanger" tool failed or I bumped it or whatever the case might be and even if the caliper falls it's okay. I have never had to replace brake line cause of that. Again not recommended to let it hang but it'll be OK.
