That was great! But, this is a DIY for someone with a shop.

Great repair video. Following your instructions a guy could easily do this in his garage or driveway.

SW Customs I would try ask around at some body shops in your area. They may hire their booth out.

Dave you are honestly my favourite KZbinr and if it wasn't for your videos I would not have learned how to paint properly, i didn't even know what clear coat was until I watched your videos haha, I've learned so much and saved so much money thanks to you, appreciate that you put so much effort into your videos, it really makes the video more enjoyable and more fun to learn, cheers mate!

At 8:50, you show the damaged pre-paint. At 8:55 you show the finished, but in a different light. It would be so nice to see before AND after in as CLOSE to the exact light as possible so we can see how good (or not so) the repair is. Thanks for the tutorial though!

Hi witch was cheaper the repair or a replacement splitter lip? * great job though, *
@customspraymods7 жыл бұрын
Classickid21 the repair was much cheaper.
@MRVW-327 жыл бұрын
customspraymods I don't see why people are moaning or saying remove the front lip, if it's your pride and joy you want to keep it looking nice.
@customspraymods7 жыл бұрын
Classickid21 hey man I know. It's my dad's car so it was pretty much free to fix. A new lip is over $500 over here.
@MRVW-327 жыл бұрын
customspraymods wow that's pretty pricey for a front lip, at least by fixing if you know it's been done correctly it came out really good, almost like you would never no it had be scuff. Its such a shame your USA based id happily let you do tutorials videos on my old half faded red vw golf mk2

What the main purpose of the reducer? Nice work... Like your videos.
@customspraymods7 жыл бұрын
jermaine johnson the paint on its own is too thick to pass through the gun. The reducer or thinners thin the paint enough to get it through the gun and lay down evenly.
@jermainej56837 жыл бұрын
customspraymods thank you. Appreciate that. So add the two really don't make much difference then?

Thinking about the cost of consumables vs buying a new one. But I guess you wouldn’t need all that masking if it’s simply fastened on.
@PocketAces887 жыл бұрын
Wouldnt it have been easier to just take the lip off
@savoirfaire89797 жыл бұрын
A State of Trance: I thought the same. Lip was probably easier to replace.
@snitz1577 жыл бұрын
Nunya Business well some people can't afford to replace a lip, this is why the video was made.
@ForcedFalcon7 жыл бұрын
Not exactly, It takes about 10 minutes to mask something like this. Comparing that time to the time it'll take to either drop the guard liners and under engine shields to get access to the lip to remove it or, even completely removing the bumper to get access to be able to remove the lip.
@dcboyhacker007 жыл бұрын
CS Studios if you own a GT-R you should be able to afford a replacement

Hey there man, another great video as always. I've been enjoying your content for months now and had a bit of a question I wanted some advice on(from anyone else who wants to chime in to). I'm here in the states and want to redo my car, 10 years has left the paint dinged, scratched and generally messed up. I am planning to use 2k clear/primer and urethane basecoat colors. I live in a suburbs area and wanted input as to where the heck i can spray this job without endangering near by people. Thanks a ton for any input or advice!
@snitz1577 жыл бұрын
Kevin Wallace you can get a pop up tent and set up a few vacuums to act as a spray booth and not let the chemicals into the air
@kevinwallace46357 жыл бұрын
CS Studios Great! I was actually considering something along those lines, granted my concept was a wooden super structure with plastic wrap (lumber being very cheap around me) and some box fans with filters for exhaust. I hate to be a bother but would you happen to have reccomendations for a tent able to do a car about 12ft by 6ft (its a hyundai accent hatch). Also, of course, thank you so much for the input
