I switched to researching off the shelf solutions to recommend and your videos are golden !! Thank you for covering this! I was diagnosed with a rheumatoid condition about 6 years ago that put me on prednisone for almost 4 years. I was well aware of the deleterious side effects of this drug (I am a nurse) but as I was in such constant pain it was seriously affecting my mobility. So, the risks were definitely outweighed the benefits: the restoration of my mobility! We're talking about things as simple as being able to roll over in bed, or bend over to pick up something from the floor, or even get out of a chair or car, or climb a flight of stairs. Fortunately, I didn't have the weight gain, hair loss, or 'roid rage (LOL), or disruptions to my sleep. I am really appreciating all your good advice.

I constantly would hear them huffing and puffing for air even just walking. And the other one massive wrinkles especially around her mouth. Substitute a bad habit with a good habit. Drinking water a lot or running or walking or doing weights. When I was 35 ppl would confuse me w being "right out of college." No no no please don’t use Vaseline, its petroleum based 😣 blocks water and there is no benefit to it. Use natural oils after the shower (when you’re at your most moist) like argan oil, avocado, almond, grape seed oil, Shea butter (viva natural makes an organic creamy one that’s divine), jojoba, or a combination of all of those. You’ll get various benefits from these oils, it will seal your moisture since oil doesn’t go as deep as oil in the skin, and if you want less deep moisture but still great moisture then just use Shea on dryers parts of th body or only in the winter.

Dr. Dray could you do a video on how to take care of our skin while wearing a mask? I am a nurse and have to wear a mask throughout my whole shift. I've noticed my skin has been breaking out 😞 It's really upsetting.

What would you specifically recommend for crepey neck skin?
@pamcollins21784 жыл бұрын
Anyone else have UV treatments for acne in the 1970s? I am 64. I am fair skinned & burn instead of tan, so I have never been a sun worshiper. Yet, several years ago, to my horror, my neck started going all crepey! My face looks fine, but my neck is horrendous! And, why, I’ve bemoaned? I’ve stayed out of the sun my entire life! But, Dr Dray may have solved the mystery. In the 1970s I had consistent UV treatments for acne. The only area that I remember the doctor covering were my eyes with goggles. My poor neck was getting the full brunt of the rays, too. I think that may have caused my crepey neck these years later. Anyway, I’m going to try Dr Dray’s recommendation.

How important is water for the skin in general and if so how much do you recommend.

The crepey skin I have is on my legs, arms & hands. I've been using Alpha Skin Care Intensive Renewal Serum 14% Glycolic Alpha Hydroxy Acid; Ordinary Vitamin C Suspension 30%; Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel-Cream in the morning (CeraVe AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion with SPF 30 if going outside. I stay away from windows inside.) At night, I've been using Alpha Skin Care Intensive Renewal Serum 14% Glycolic Alpha Hydroxy Acid; Olay Regenerist Retinol 24 Max Night Face Cream; Origins Make A Difference Rejuvenating Hand Treatment. I'm starting to see some results. What few age spots I have on my hands are lightening. I don't expect to see good results for the crepey skin in a while.

Wow, thank you so much for this. I have severe asthma and have been on prednisone for a couple years. I am only 23 and noticed a patch of crepey skin has developed near my mouth, glad to know that there are ways to combat this. I try not to get too down about it as it isn't super noticeable, but I always know its there.
@LinA-it9vd4 жыл бұрын
Miranda Kinsley There are so many other medications for severe asthma I’m shocked they would keep you on Prednisone. It has the potential to be quite dangerous when used long term.
@peachplumbear11954 жыл бұрын
@@LinA-it9vd I do go off it for periods of time, but whenever I have a bout (which is frequent) I get put on a course of prednisone (I also take three controller medications). I've actually been talking to my specialist and we're going to try biologic therapy soon. Thank you for your concern, its very kind of you.

Dr. Dray, this was such a good topic because I just turned 60 and have fair skin and my hands look older than I do. I take care of myself eating well, a lot of water and exercise, but every time I look down at my ands they are wrinkly and you can see my veins.Yuck! So, if I use Eucerin hand cream for hands and neck that would improve the appearance, or do I need to use a Vitamin A as well? What is the order that you put these on? Many thanks for helping us find products that really work.

I'm glad you addressed this as I was really wanting to know if the whole 'Crepe Erase' was a gimmick or not. I am going out to simply get some Eucerin and go with that instead and ultimately solve the problem and save some 'dough'! Thanks again Dr. Dray for your truthful analysis!

IIRC the reason fruit consumption IN REASONABLE QUANTITIES is fine is because the *fibers notably reduce body inflammation* (provided you don't have stuff like FODMAP issues, e.g. fructan intolerance or allergies), plus the vitamins and minerals improve your health. Of course anything in excess is terrible for your health though.

Dr. Dray, you are the best of the best! very down to earth and practical more caring for the common people. I just came from the channel "Doctorly". They sound more commercial, in the sense of their recommendation of their sponsors' products. Guess you can hardly blame them. My problem is I need a filler for my hands. I tried the crepe ease which did'nt work. Thank you so much for your invaluable info and advice. Greatly appreciated!

Dr Dray, I’ve just gone through chemo and I’ve noticed that my skin seems to have aged dramatically since treatment began. The most obvious symptoms are dryness, loss of elasticity, and creepiness. I’m wondering if my skin will ever “snap” back into shape. Would you consider doing a segment specifically for skin care during and after chemo. Thank you so much for the relevant content you provide

Dr Dray - yes please. Am about to go thru radiation and chemo; have had a neck dissection and the skin feels tough, like thick pigskin.

Hi Jeannette! I was fortunate enough to be advised by a church mate who had her share of chemo and radiation to always hydrate before and after chemo and put on lotion religiously while on treatment. We both had lymphoma and her neck was already blackened. I followed her advice and 5 years after, my skin is still seemingly okay . God bless you ❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏

Studies have shown that topical application of formulas with dill essential oil may help to reinforce skin elasticity and firmness, thus improving the overall appearance of skin. As a result, the benefits of dill extract are often infused in anti-aging skincare formulas. Still crepe erase may not be worth I but there is science to support their ingredients.
