Thanks for posting. I have upgraded my DRL's and low beams to LED lights (error free bulbs) from the halogen bulbs and the flickering is hella annoying. I have my fog light bulbs ready to switch out, but haven't yet. I do not get an error message though, so I am looking forward to trying your solution on my F30 sport edition. Your hat is dope too! ***why BMW sells cars with the halogen lamps is ridiculous. Too beautiful of a machine not to come standard with LED's.

I recently installed LCI LED fog lights to my non LCI 2012 BMW F30 320d. (Australian model) I recently purchased a VGATE OBD and Bimmercode to ensure that the LED lights were not flickering. As required, I changed the coding in FEM, from BULB to LED, and also turned off the warm and cold voltage monitoring. However the lights are still flickering and have tried every option. I’ve looked on forums and cant find anyone who has done the same method as me, i.e. installing the LCI fog lights into non LCI model. The LED seems to be inbuilt into the fog light itself. There was a period when the fog lights were not flashing when the headlights were on, but they were flashing at random (once in a while) when the lights were turned off. Not sure if this is related or not, but when the engine is off and the lights and fog lights are on, they don’t flash. But when the engine is running and the lights, and fog lights are on, they flash. I have also changed the rest of my lights to LED on my model as they were standard halogens and have not had an issue with flickering LED bulbs over the 3 years I’ve had the car. I would have thought that this would be a simple swap out to LED, and using the app to deactivate the voltage monitoring however even after doing that, they keep flashing. Any help is appreciated!!!

I’m having the same issue. H8 fogs randomly flash. Coded, monitoring off, led set, no other issues. Fog lights can’t get right. I have load resistors, which were installed before BC so if these being deleted don’t body it I’m up shits creek with some strobes. Any ideas?

@@johnkaschak1904 Hey mate, I managed to fix the issue. I've coded all monitoring for the head lights off including indicators. I literally left my car untouched and locked for a few days ( actually a week as in Australia , Melbourne we are still in lockdown so didn't need the car) this gave enough time for the system to fully shut down and reboot. I recommend doing this and giving it a go. I did previously try the disconnect battery method but that didnt work, so i think leaving the car for a minimum of two days locked and not touched may work. It did for me. Let me know if this works.

@@evo9rocks1 I should have mentioned that mine only do this when I hit the fog light button. I also have switchbacks and can now power them on, but if I power them off or try and change the color they won’t turn on again for 20 minutes. Therefore no switchbacks.

Do you know the difference between the cold and warm monitoring? Does cold monitoring only check the bulbs when you first turn the car on and warm monitoring check the bulbs whilst driving the car etc?

My f31 came with led taillights stock and now my left brake light has died. It flickered for a few weeks and then completely died, everything else works. The lamp housing is the enclosed model that cannot be opened, does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? Im thinking of just taking a dremel and cut a big access hole in the back of the light but it feels kinda wrong to do that

Okay look bro since I always do this. You will have to code in Expert mode and u need to make sure u do the right options in the each platform for certain circuits.
