Trying to do this on my diesel bmw and the 3rd injector was so built up with carbon I can’t get the copper washer out and I’ve tried everything

I have micro-leaks around 1, 3 and 4. Do I do it myself or let mercedes handle it? I need 150 in tools that I don't have. Mercedes wants 580 for all four (plus eventualities) and it comes with 2 year guarantee. Their last 11 years of work has been top notch. They will also have pieces (eventualities) that I will not have if needed. I don't worry about unnecessary work. Its not their style. My love of mechanics says do it myself but the ease and security says that Mercedes is best route. Its a 4.9 star garage. 2023 is the year of revision of all worn parts.

I thought you have to tighten it with x nm and then 90degrees or something like that? At least in the older 2.1l Mercedes the guide said that.

AFAIK the injectors lift themself off the engine block and start to leak. This could happen due to faulty injector too

warm up the car , take put injectors, plig holes, and just clean , screw driver chemicals, and so on , brushes…

Hi IS it always hard to get the injectors out my engine is om 642 and mine start leakin to on cylindre 123456 so they are leakin always i drove 70.000 km with it i didnt got issues, so is this really important to fix ???

Use new bolts as they are stretch bolts..big risk for snapping them off at that NM. i did not use new on one i changed, did not snap . lucky i guess

Pity video didnt show cleaning out the bores and what was used plus showing the new washers on the injectors would be useful. Alot of Guys go to alot of trouble of doing videos but neglect the critical points ,, sorry for rant
