I would like to add one more fix regarding Process Lasso. Under Priority Class there is an opetion called CPU Affinity. On both options(current and always) uncheck CPU 0 from both. You will get more responsive game and little bit of fps boost. The reason is CPU 0 is used for Operating system and all background services. With this you are telling your game not to mix with those services and it will get you better playing experience. MW will run on all other cores and there will be no bottleneck. Try it and tell me how it goes for you.

Great video! Easy to follow steps. I have the same GPU and monitor! I know these tips have greatly improved the way my computer is operating! I actually was having what seemed to be screen stuttering and even with all of the latency, GPUs/cpu clocks being displayed it still showed no issues. I always use WIFI even tho I am 2 ft from my router and also just installed a WIFI extender. I couldn’t figure out what was going on my download upload is 250/250 and I decided to just hardwire in and it seemed to eliminate all screen lag. Simple fix I guess

hey man, thanks for the video, unfortunately i'm still having issues after i've done all of this, but this did help quite a bit. i've got an i5 4590 cpu with an rx 5600xt gpu, i'm still getting 100% cpu usage. still getting fps drops to 65-80 fps. before this video i was getting drops to 35 fps, this game just won't run smooth for me. i recently ran out of space on my ssd due to the recent large update, so i transferred the game to my hdd and it seems i've had problems ever since then, I also upgraded my gpu from an rx 570 around that time, just not sure where to go from here. Any advice would be much appreciated.

A_Stick so I don't think the extra ram would help much. COD is extremely CPU driven to play. My recommendation is to upgrade to a better CPU. Your GPU should be fine for now. If you can afford it get an i9. If not, even an i7 would make a huge difference

I've been having this problem since the release tbh. I tried this fix but the CPU usage shouldn't be over 70% never mind 90%-100%. The game itself is unstable just like WW2 was before it got patched. The game is set to base its instruction on specifically the CPU and hardly the GPU (literally only uses 4% of my GPU usage lol). Unless they fix the problem there is literally no way of fixing this. Your 'fix doesn't really help since even your game was still totalling up to a 70% usage (the game itself was doing about 30% but all together it was about 70%) and this wasn't even when in game. If you really have a fix upload the video when in game and then open task manager, then we'll see if this really works. Btw I don't like writing negative or harsh comments as I know your trying to fix the problem but I've other upload literally the same video and the fix just doesn't work.

DestroyingGaming 4life the reason it's at 70% is because of the other applications running in the background. The fix was not to fix the overall CPU issue but to fix how much CPU is used with the game open. Before I used this method I was capping at 80% CPU on MW alone. Now it doesn't go above 40%. And I realize the game uses barely any GPU which is bullshit. But I'm not a developer for the game and can't fix that. I'm just sharing what worked for me

I haven't had any performance issues, personally, but my connection is now 10X worse. I'm seeing ping around 100ms, with constant connection and packet loss issues. It's making the game nearly unplayable and I've never run into this in MW yet, but it's a common issue. The jittering I am definitely getting, although it's not hardware related. There's scheduled server maintenance today, so hopefully that addresses some of these issues. My bet is, they borked some code and are fixing it in the background. I'm running a GTX 1080, i7 8700k, 32GB of 3200Hz DDR4 ram and a Z390M motherboard. Averaging 110 FPS at 1920 X 1080. Next time you hop into a match, focus on your ping and how much the packet loss and desync symbols show up on your screen. See if the current server situation is affecting you at all. Glad to know I'm not the only one recently running into issues like this.

SwoleyGhost great video by the way. I just wanted to add some steps that’ll also help with improving increasing your fps. If your build has a Nvidia GPU. Go to Nvidia control panel or download the app. After go to “adjust image settings with preview” it will be set to balanced by default. Set it to “Performance”. Also if you have a G-Sync or AMD Free Sync capable monitor set up and enable G-Sync for windowed and full screen mode. This well help display the best visuals with low latency. Also when setting the custom frame limit make sure you set it to about 3 fps below the capability of your monitor. For example if you have a 144Hz set the limit to 141. The reason being is because if you set it to the exact limit sometimes your fps will overshoot that 144 and when it goes over your G-Sync/Free Sync turns off. So if you set it to 141 it’s fine if it overshoots cause it won’t go past 144 it’ll probably hit at 143-144 max.

If your 1080Ti is overheating and shutting down it's not an issue with the GAME, it's an issue with your case ventilation being shit or the graphics card being full of dust or the thermal conduct harderning and becoming bad at conducting heat. Download msi afterburner 4.6.2 from guru3d.com and create your own fan profile in it to "first aid" this issue. This issue is not the game, that's your hardware having an issue. Graphics cards don't overheat because of games, they overheat because of user error.

Out of focus framerate limit means when the game as an application in Windows is out of focus. This means it limits the refresh rate to 30fps when you alt+tab out.

Pro tip do not put 120 frame rate limit IF you have a freesync or gsync monitor. you should set it 3 below so 120hz monitor is set too 117fps so then the fps will not go outside the Gsync range or freesync range because if you set it too 120fps on a 120hz screen it will sometimes go over by 2 to 3fps so once it hits 122 or 123fps gsync turns off and then as it goes bk below 120fps it turns back on so set it to 3fps lower than the screen refresh rate

Bliss Garcia so if she is going to stream with a single PC setup, I would recommend streaming at 720p/ 3000 nitrate. Also have the encoder set to Nvenc (new). NVENC utilizes both the CPU and GPU for streaming. With MW being so CPU intensive, it may be very difficult. But I hope this advice helps

Yo this video helped a lot. The game does run a bit smoother for me but the game no longer shows up in OBS. I undid the properties change on the game and launcher so it would show up

10:38 if you have space in the vram turn cache spot and sun shadows on it will pre load shadows and you gpu wont have to load them in real time it help for higher and more consistant fps

For me it worked it wont fix all of the issues because it looks like the game isnt really optimised but definitely will increase your fps a little bit and it will be more consistent Btw nvidia recommended it so its not something that i made up you shoud at least try it

If you have Nvidia graphics cards it does help. However, some do experience negative effects by doing so. Just try and see 👍🏼💪🏼
