I’m 62, been studying martial arts all my life and have been grappling for the last three years or so. The last ten years, my almost life long lower back pain has been particular bad, sometimes forcing me to rest up for two days. If practically resigned myself to seriously considering stopping my current activity for ever, that was until l accidentally came across this gentleman’s videos. I kid you not, after around just three days l realised my back pain was, no longer, HONESTLY! For two weeks l religiously performed the 6 or so exercises every day, but now l find every other day adequately maintains the strength l have developed. I really was at a loss as to what to do, but now... well, l consider this experience priceles; hell, before, l couldn’t sit at the dining table without pain for more 10 mins and was consistently changing f position when watching tv, let alone the morning stiffness that has literally disappeared. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Have been struggling with lower back pain for about two years now and have changed different styles of sleeping, changed my mattress and do all kinds of stretches, bought a back roller that would alleviate pain for some time but today I woke up in a mission and that was to feel restored and came across this video and did every single stretch pausing it and replaying it until I got to the tennis ball that I Thank God for having one in my closet popped the bottle open and got my back rolling trying to relax and mannn! the fact that I was able to roll on the spot that disturbed me for a while was such a great feeling felt like my back was coming back to life. Keep in mind I’m 25 years old and had also hurt my back lifting weights and stacking trailer tires, but I get to say Thank you doc, you’ve been a Blessing to me and my back and I hope more people come across this video because I believe it’s life changing 🙏🏽

Thank you so much for this. I never leave comments but here goes… I have spent the better part of three years recovering from back pain. Yoga, stretching, walking and strength training got me 90% of the way better but I was still having lower back pain when getting out of bed that would take 30 minutes or so to subside. These simple stretches have me feeling almost 100% in the mornings. Thank you so much!

Haircut or not. You stretches are the best on KZbin. These stretches are given in simple no nonsense way. You explain why and give great instructions on how to do these stretches. These exercises plus a fantastic local chiropractor are heaven sent

Thank you so much for making this video. When I tell my chiropractor about my back pain, there usually is NO instruction on what to do to remedy the issue. I find your videos really helpful for self-care. I am 63 and my lower back pain has become more difficult to withstand in the morning when I first get out of bed. Incorporating these stretches before getting out of bed has made a HUGE difference.

I've been sleeping with a throw pillow between my knees/legs and that's really helped with my lower back pain. However, on the nights I toss and turn and find my leg-pillow off to the side and I wake up with a little bit of lower back pain, I do a variation of the first stretch 2:40 and the yoga downward-dog type of stretch and get a good pop. My back's been feeling much better these last few months.

How’s your back pain now ?
@FigWidIt3 жыл бұрын
@@qsks8366 Much better, but only at my lower back. I don't think the "pillow between legs" trick does anything for my upper and mid back. I am a side-sleeper so my shoulders sometimes get sore after side-sleeping, but my lower-back feels very relieved doing the "pillow between legs" when sleeping on the side of my body.

I’m only 22, and I feel too young to be having these problems. I feel like I’m watching my future grandson teaching me how to treat my back. You’re definitely older than me, but I just wanna pinch your cheeks and call you a sweet boy. But in all seriousness, you’re doing God’s work. This relieved me from hours of pain on a very intense acid trip. If there is a heaven, there is a seat up there reserved for you.
@joelc9329 Жыл бұрын
There is a heaven and teaching people how to relieve back pain is not how you get there. Accepting Jesus into your heart and turning from sin is the only way into heaven, it is God reaching his hand down and giving a free gift of eternal life and all you have to do is believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and follow after him.
@ZacharyFinch Жыл бұрын
@@joelc9329 People like you are the reason organized religion is dying. I feel like if I were Christian, I’d be better at converting people than 90% of evangelists, but because your understanding of the world and spirituality is so myopic, you can’t even appreciate how brainwashed and cultish you come across. If you want to connect with people on a spiritual level, then I suggest you stop preaching and try connecting with them on a personal level first. Unless we know each other or already share some common understanding of the world, you might as well be a telemarketer trying to sell me garbage over the phone. Seriously, it’s that repulsive. Even if you believe your purpose on this Earth is to spread the good word, then I’m just letting you know: You’re doing a very bad job. It’s almost as if you don’t really care about me or my soul. Or anyone else’s for that matter. You just want more people to validate your worldview so that you feel less alone in a world in which Christianity just doesn’t make as much sense, nor seem as relevant or useful as it has in the past.

This is a godsend. Every day I wake up with a tight back. I've tried the corkscrew and I feel I will do that every morning, if I can. Because of space limitations, I had to push my arms up at a 45-degree angle, rather than having them perpendicular to my body - if anything, this made the stretch even better, and made my back pop. Thanks again, Dr. - and congratulations: 3/4 of a million subscribers, now! The big 1M can't be far off - keep up the good work!
