Thanks for the video. I used a thick rubber tap washer which was placed between the spring and the metal washer that makes the ratling noise. That did the job and completely stopped the noise. To put the rubber washer I had to cut in radial direction from the edge to the hole at the center. Once placed through this cut on the rivet bolt it stayed securely there - for many years so, which may not be the case for the tape as the glue on its surface will finally dry out.

Thank you dude. I've had these legs for years and they just randomly started rattling today. The electric tape on the washer part fixed it entirely.

Brilliant! I bought a desk with these legs a few days ago and once assembled it rattled so much it almost seemed like it was going to be unusable because even with the slightest movement the rattling sound was really noticeable. Because of your solution, I can't hear the legs rattle even a little...amazing! You clearly put a fair amount of time and effort into resolving this really annoying issue and for that I'm extremely grateful...thank you!

I have these legs and they don't make noise because I have the table in the center with a bracket screwed to the wall. What I would like to know is that at one end just below the 2 legs, I have a PC that weighs more than 25 kilos. do you think something will happen?

If you tighten the legs too tight, they rattle. Back off the tension a little and there’s way less rattle. They are still unstable and wobbly though.
