Thank you so much for this video! I have had this exact Kenmore washer for almost 15 years without any issue. In the past week it stopped draining. After checking for clogged filters and such I figured it might be the pump. After watching your video and purchasing the recommended part (~$40), I was able to get my washer up and running again. Not only does it now drain but it is super quiet. It used to shake and be louder on the spin cycle but now it stays in one place and is quiet and smooth. I only wish it didn't take the removal of almost 20 screws and multiple panels to get to the part in question! Not hard, just annoying. (And make sure to organize your screws so you remember where they all go!) Thanks again!

Sometimes it drains if I just leave it. But it still stops at ND and mine doesn't have that front filter also, my drain pump is in the back. I've cleaned out that tubes attached to the pump drain and I've even replaced the pump too. It's weird

Question for anyone who may have an answer -- I got to the point where I need to remove the 2 screws on either side of the plastic housing that are holding the metal plate in place. I got the screws almost all of the way out but both of them are now just going round and round, not unscrewing any more as if the threads are stripped. I can feel about 1/4" of the end of the screw on the bottom of the washer and it's not moving out of the hole. Any suggestions on how I can get them out?? Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi! I have the same model washer as in the video and it is giving me the "nd" message, but each load is giving at a different point of the cycle (sometime it gives the message between wash and rinse, and sometimes between rinse and spin). After turning off the machine and do a rinse+spin cycle or spin only cycle it will finish the load with the machine draining the water. Any ideas why the machine would do that? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

So I run the cleaning cycle, and regular loads. I’ve checked the pump filter. I’ve pulled the drain hose out of the wall and there is pretty good flow of water coming out but here’s the rub. About 10 min left in the self cleaning cycle (out of an hour and a half full cycle) it stops and I get the ND code. Seems it could be an intermittent problem. What would you recommend if the pump is working but I still get the code

Great video. We are getting the error message that the washer is not draining however I do hear it draining when it is running. I checked the filter and it is clear. I flipped the washer on its side and removed the draqin hose to fully flush it and ensure no blockages. I also removed the pump and the large balck connecting hose from bottom of washer to pump and washed that as well. Reassembled everhyting and ran a cycle. I hear the water being discharged but still getting error message at the end of the cycle. However when opening up the washer door it is dry and when I re-check the filter it only has a slight amount oif residual water. Is there anything else to check or is it possibly a bad sensor or board going bad? Thank you for any advice you may have.

Finding myself replacing the pump ones a year??? Pump still works If I drain from valve just a little bit I will finish the rest of the drain and sometimes it will work with no problem

They just make appliances way harder to repair, as they could have easily placed an access panel below the door. It is called Planned Obsolecense.

Unfortunately you have to remove all the other parts to access the pump. You cannot access the pump from the bottom by simply tilting it back.
