what's the screwdriver size you're using? the smallest I have for the cross screws is 2mm which seems bigger than the screws in the module.

Does this type of controller come in a standard symmetrical style rather than the XBOX asymmetrical style? I tried asymmetrical in the past with the NACON controllers and it is not for me at all... Edit: Any updates on performance and reliability of the sticks after a while of having used them? Anything of note? Any negatives? Are things better or worse than a standard w/o any drift issue?

the whole point of the controller is that you can move where the sticks are, you can have asymmetrical and symmetrical

I bought one of these it had stick drift from taking it out the box they replaced it for a new one and the new one did the same thing I'll try recalibrate it before I take this back for a refund.
