Looking for tips on how to replace the lower pin with the spring on it. Everything else is obvious...

The lube tips were informative, but would've loved to see an actual seal replacement on the hardtop vent window.

Great video! But how did you get them OUT! I have a '78 bronco and spent hours with mine and couldn't figure out how to get them out of the door!

+Chris Black Check out the Full Size Bronco Forums post here: www.fullsizebronco.com/forum/21-noobie-bronco-tech-questions-flame-free-zone/82239-help-vent-window-replacement.html Good info on the screw locations and there is a picture of the frame further down in the post. We'd remove the rubber bump stop at the bottom and roll the glass all the way down to allow access and wiggle room.

I've had good luck with dry lock lube for that outside vent pin. Also good for silencing up a squeaky door hinge.

Wow...REALLY wish you spent some time on the Mustang window. You showed how to work on the sedan pin, what about the Mustung pin ? sigh

have to share with you 2 things 1) On the 1966 coupe the small screw on the channel doesn't exist..no way to easily remove to change the rubber moldings 2) You want the spring tight so the window doesn't flap around but in some cases (like mine) if you tighten to that, it creates a gap on the upper side near the pivot pin - the fix for this is add two washers above the spring (where the factory washer is) and now when you tighten to keep it form flopping, it does not pull it so far down and does not create a gap :-) I would love to be on your show !!!
