I'm not using the Valeton ( yet ) but just to share some experiences with latency here now. First I think it's important to have a powered hub and I use the OWC that connects 3 USB-Cs / thunderbolt. I have my projects stored on an external HDD and this works 100%. Then you should click the " low latency mode" in Logic. I use a M1 MiniMac at the moment. Thanks for a great video.

Thank you for the tips Peter! I have everything stored on external HDD and using SD to edit. I agree, freeing up space on the computar hard drive it's huge. I'm using the Hyperdesk as a hub. My mac is an M2. The latency in my case was some hardware conflict. It's solved now. The Valeton has no latency issues. Go for the Valeton, you wont regret :)

@@jorge_albuquerque You're welcome. I'm currently using the Boss GX-100 that I'm pretty happy with but somehow all these units presets reminds of the other and therefor I'm thinking about something new. I actually have the GX-100, Apollo Twin Quad and a Focusrite plugged into he OWC and works brilliant. Checking up the Valeton next week. Cheers

All that sounds great. I do not know well the GX-100. I had a boss one many years ago, BOSS GT-8. The Apollo Twin is great. That's my next buy!

@@jorge_albuquerqueApollo is amazing sounding as ar the FXs BUT it's a bit annoying to have basically two DAWs more or less. I would prefer a better integration in Logic but I guess Apollo is more integrated in Luna. It's also a bit annoying that with your editor software for Valeton or Boss on the screen at the same time as Apollo and your DAW means 3 softwares open up at the same time.

Oh I see. But with valeton you don't really need to use the software. You can connect via XLR to the interface and make all the settings and the changes of the presets directly on the pedalboard. That way you'r not consuming your CPU.

Hey hey. Great to know that it helps. I have another one to go out next week. About the global setting. I'll do more about the valeton for sure. About tone too.

Can you plug the Valeton right into your computer via USB, why do you need the U-phoria?
@jorge_albuquerque21 күн бұрын
I use both. Sometimes USB and sometimes with U.phoria. There is no better way. I tend to use the XLR when recording with a band. At home I tend to use more the USB, depending on the the usb ports I'm using ate the moment on the computer.

i still dont get it why all of these guitar units which can record via usb limit you to 44.1 khtz when industry standard of recording is 48 and in some cases higher up to 96. This limits the use imo.
@jorge_albuquerque22 күн бұрын
Hi Chris! 44.1 kHz remains a widely used standard because of its legacy compatibility and practicality. Manly because of storage and managing processing power. Higher sample rates may improve fidelity slightly, but the differences are often imperceptible to the average listener, especially when the source material is played through consumer-grade equipment. So it makes some sense to use it as a secure and High quality sample rate as a DAW standard at this days. I think thats why.

@@jorge_albuquerque get what your saying but if they did up to 96 as all standard audio interfaces do now and had a joint xlr / jack input you wouldnt need a seperate interface and you get an all in one box which would suite guitarists singer songwriters far more imo .
@jorge_albuquerque22 күн бұрын
I see what your saying. At some point they'll probably do the transition.
