Great episide, I am an ISA at an Atlantic Canadian DLI, and we always discourage students from "flagpoling". I loved how you started with, "I have a friend" 100% that is always how the conversation starts! I just shared your video with our students.

Hello Mark, Can I flagpole to remove conditions noted on my (Open) PGWP "Not authorized to work in childcare, Primary school"? Or can I remove same at the airport after an international flight?

Hi Mark and Alicia, Thanks for sharing these information, this is my case; I'm in a private college for a one year program and have 3 three months to graduate. I have gotten a job offer and would like to find out if it's good advisable to flagpole to change my study permit to work permit. This is because the private college is not eligible for PGWP upon programme completion even though it's a DLI accredited. I want to gain working experience in canada. Do i qualify, please? I need help.

What happens when you have a approval letter for your work permit but getting in mail is taking a while. Can I go to just the Canadian border and get my work permit based of that? And if yes I do not have to per se go to US border right?

IMPORTANT 1. Can I flagpole to apply for a WP at POE with having a valid Visitor Record and TRV? I previously had PGWP which expired a few weeks ago. 2. Can my spouse also flagpole with me to apply for a SOWP with having a valid Visitor Record and expired TRV? She previously had SOWP until my PGWP expiry date.

HI, My study permit is going to expire on April 30th. I have already applied for an extension along with my wife's SOWP extension on January 27th. It's been around 3 months, and I am still waiting for an update on the extension. My course was completed a week ago, and I am waiting for the final grades. I have a question: If I can somehow arrange the course completion letter and transcript from my university before April 30th, can I apply alone for a PGWP with my existing study permit since I have already applied for an extension? Will it affect my spouse's existing SOWP extension application? Thank you for your assistance.
