Good to see someone using the correct steps such as proper cleaning of the shaft before fletching. I know this sounds old school but if you are going to be shooting a lot and or hunting do yourself a favor and try out feathers. They will perform even if damaged and will also be more forgiving if there is any fletching contact, such as a leaf or twig you didnt see. A little waterproof spray on them will keep them dry and you dont have to refletch as often when shooting. Never found a better fletching glue the Bohning Fletchtite - it remains flexible and cleans right off when refletching without damaging the shaft. Your technique is great and I wish you the best!

I haven't fletched my own in quite a few years! Washington State made us choose which weapon we wanted to hunt with and all my family rifle hunts so I chose modern firearm so I could hunt with them.
