The normal 18 at Swenson is a disaster for most of us locals lol. Glad you guys found it to be a good course and a little challenge (from what I have heard), in the long layout they made.

I think this is excellent advice. I really need to find the patience to go and try it out. I just wanna rip stuff as hard as I can! but I know this would yield better results in the long run. I appreciate all the detailed insights.

Learn to throw forehand with putters! I practised it for a while last winter when snow prevented me from using my drivers, and now my sidearm is better than ever - accurate, controlled, no wobble, and I can now throw up to 400 feet!

Thats an odd grip. Mine is odder haha. I stack ring and middle at the rim and fan index towards center for angle control. Forehanding putters and mids might be my favorite part of the game, and easy to practice.

Right at 10:44 you make a comment about how the angle of your disc changes a lot on the throw during the swing. This isn’t incorrect nor a bad thing. Watch Paul Mcbeth forearm drive… he holds the disc sideways at a 90 degree angle and backswings like a bowler would and in between transitions to a flat release. There’s so much motion in the disc. Let me know what you think I’m interested to hear your reasoning. I also do see a lot of great disc golfers throw completely flat like you’re trying to achieve.

Good tips. I don’t throw forehands unless I absolutely have to, and they’re usually pretty bad. I think it’s a matter of being a little scared of em and also being lazy about putting in the effort to practice. I’m gonna try some of this stuff for sure though.

I personally use a different type of power grip where I bend the middle finger so the finger tip touches the rim and has the index finger going forward until it touches the rim (if that makes sense) I have tried for quite some time to get the same grip as the one you're doing to work but I always throw way further to my right than i'm aiming and with no power what so ever and crazy wobble. but since I switched to my kind of power grip can I throw further with my forehand than I can with my backhand and my longest backhand throws are at the 100 meter mark and my record forehand is 110. so I do more forehand drives than backhand drives just because this worked so well.

Great vid a d great OTB tourney! It's the release on putters and midranges that is difficult for me. Normal stacked grip with any driver comes off ok, but the extra lip makes it hang on my middle finger and causes the disc to come off late and start way left. Any ideas?

Great vid, love the tip about filming in slow mo especially! Not piling on/attacking, but trying to be constructive: In my opinion, the wrist pump when you load before you throw is the biggest thing you can go after in your form. Like a fake before the real throw. You're a Pro, so surely not mentioning anything you haven't noticed already. I mostly just enjoyed the video and want to give you comment traffic 🚦🙂 Keep pumping out great content

Wherever feels easy, but substantial enough to feel like you have to put a little bit of power behind it. Try 120ft or so and see how that works.
