Stuff I can remember. 1. Show your True Self. Practice storytelling on KZbin. 2. Kill your Ego. It's actually "THEM"tube. 3. Find Clique (Interesting to you and others. 4. Just make the movies. As often as possible.

Fact! I have learned so much from more knowledgeable others on KZbin. It is one of the best tools for breaking down complex concepts, in my opinion. Learning from real people who have real lived experience is invaluable. You make it look easy, simplifying, and entertaining, in parallel and with ease. Hats off!

I appreciate your kind words 🥹 It indeed is humbling to part of this giant real-life pseudo human experiment of crowd-sourced knowledge and contribute what I can to the collective community… and hopefully done in a way where it’s kind of fun. Thank you for being on this journey with me friend ❤️

Starting a channel is hard. It can take a long time to start seeing traffic. I appreciate you breaking it down and giving tips on how to make videos. I feel like KZbin is more challenging in a different way, than it was before, because a lot of the audience have more of an expectation on what videos should be like. For instance, lots of people use TikTok/KZbin Shorts nowadays and struggle with even watching long-form content. Ten years ago, everyone watched long-form content. Also, there are a lot more content creators publishing. I feel like the audience needs go be a little more openminded about the type of content that is out there, just like KZbin used to be 10 or 15 years ago, where people would publish anything and it didn't matter, people would watch. Anyway, thanks for sharing, Spoonfed.

I appreciate your thoughts PromisingPod. Definitely not without its challenges and you are right, overall expectations have probably evolved a lot from before given all these factors. Who knows what may happen in the next 10 years too! Wish I started 10 years ago… but then again, there’s probably a me who didn’t start a channel in some parallel universe and for him, ten years in the future, he’ll wish he started today 😅

@@spoonfedstudy Yeah, things are always changing. Hopefully we can learn from our mistakes and approach whatever potential future landscapes that come with readiness and to be able to succeed more assuredly than before. I wish I'd started 10 years ago, too. But, I didn't have the wisdom that I have now, so life is complicated that way. I guess we can only do what is before us and learn to work with what we have and see the beauty in reality and the now and learn from our mistakes. Thanks, Spoonfed.

I probably don't have the right to say this, but I believe the reason why this didn't get as many views is because a lot of the video was about developing the right mindset for KZbin, but not on the strategies people need to go viral. I believe this led to a lot of viewers being left unsatisfied, which lowered the retention rate.

What if videos aren't really my thing and I want to write to share my personal experience, advice, and analysis of something others are interested in? Should I adapt this approach to, say, blogging or Medium /Substack? And maybe release a KZbin video or two for the most important guides (but still focus on the writing primarily)?
@-Nikoli-3 ай бұрын
I think maybe you could do something like a podcast, you dont have to record yourself, you could just put subtiltes or something in the videos while you say the stuff you woulda wrote. It's definitely hard to compete with ai in that field.
