Yes, stamping first with VersaMark, then wiping off on the heel of my hand has worked best for my new stamps...especially the solid ones.

Simon, this was a huge ah ha for Me! I recently purchased Scrapbooking. Com Ink Pads and I had trouble with the flat stamp of a Deer showing the pattern of the Pad and I thought it was the Ink Pad. I am going to give this a try before I returne them and I'll bet I have the answer to My problem! Thanks so much! The Service Dept didn't suggest anything and was going to allow Me to return the ink Pads, but maybe now I won't have to! Great Tip!! You are amazing to watch! Thanks again!

Hi Simon - I have a ton of clear stamps but I must say that overall, I feel that the red cling stamps are far superior. Never have to be conditioned and always give a crisp image. Just my experience overall

Nice tutorial, you can also use an emery board instead of sandpaper. An emery board is not as coarse as sandpaper, and I have used this trick many times on other stamp sets. Great tips!

Great info. What do you do if your stamps do not cling to block?
@scrapbook7 жыл бұрын
You can use removable adhesive to adhere your stamp to the block and remove it when you are finished.
@simon.hurley7 жыл бұрын
If your stamps stop clinging to the block, run them under some water and pat them dry with a non lint cloth. This should bring back the cling on clear stamps! :)

Hi Simon your tutorials are enjoyable you present many helpfull hints. I have to say ,I think rubber stamps are best,the photopolymer, silicon stamps are too fussy, have to be treated with too much care theyre imprints are often inferior plus these clear stamps are less to manufacture. I have been making cards for 25 years. Granted many great images are only on these plastic stamps and often i have no other way,so l have to give in and purchase them. It's too bad some of the more popul ar manufacturers have switched over to this.oh well I just wanted to voice my opinion. Thanks Simon☺☺

Simon may I ask when you started stamping? I have a 12 yr old grandson who loves to Help me and his little brother teases him. So sometimes its hard to get him to help, even though he does seem to enjoy it. I tell him, ignore your lil' brother, look at Tim Holtz, I bet he laughs all the way to the bank!! You have a great voice with a great future in presentations NO MATTER the content! TFS ♡♡♡♡♡
