The point you just made right towards the end- that's the single biggest thing I think any guy should make the cornerstone of all his relationships. Live YOUR life and invite them into it. I've made the mistake of trying to woo a girl , so id take them to fancy restaurants, on trips, a bunch of flashy stuff to try and impress. Not that I dont take vacations or go to nice restaurants , but just not in the way I portrayed it in the beginning. So it became the expectation. That's the total wrong thing to do. Keep living your life and just invite them to participate. Not only will you set the right expectations, but then you dramatically lessen the risk that later on having the situation where they say they didnt know the real you and now they dont like you. I was wondering how you can let the girl know your preferences without outright stating them (which can come across as being arrogant), I think the advice to 'live the relationship you want' is a good idea, at least heading in that direction gives you both an idea of where you want to go and give you an idea of how it would be with that person. I myself like a good amount of alone time and working on side projects, but also like to be outdoors and semi-active. A book that someone who's looking to "do some things in your life to improve you as a person" should definitely read. Mastermind is a principle that's common in business but applies to any relationship. Rashid, I think the right way is to just focus on your hobbies and goals and put yourself first for a bit, you don't have to break up, or fuck with her emotions.
