Thank you so much for sharing this precious information! I am a rising junior seeking to have research experience in chem engineering next summer. Since you had research experience as a high schooler in the past, I wanted to ask you if it was difficult for you to do certain tasks at the lab as a high schooler. I have taken college-level chemistry and physics courses and I also have a certificate in engineering CAD. However, I am kind of afraid that I will not be able to meet the standards at the lab. I would appreciate it if you could help me out. Thank you! 😊

I am a high schooler and I’m interested in an internship related to psychology. I have psych and biology coursework and a good gpa but I don’t really have much prior experience or any extracurriculars related to the field. What should I put on my resume?

Thanks a lot! Just a few questions What would be the best time to email them about this like during their hours? Or like the morning? When should I email them like during the summer or the fall or any other month?

Good question! Depends entirely on your schedule! Based on my experience, there isn't really a single time to avoid. Just be ready to follow up on your initial email in 1-2 weeks if you don't get a reply.

@@CollegeLead What should be included in the follow up email?

If I want to get more experience but I'm more into languages and literature than a stem subject, would I craft the mail the same way? If I have no prior experience? Since the type of research done for humanities is quite different from a science-related subject:)
@CollegeLead3 жыл бұрын
Yes, the general structure should work (e.g., citing research that a professor has done to express your interest in their work).

Thank you so much !:) Do we have to find research positions only in our local area ? Can we find research opportunities in the US, as an international student ?

You can find opportunities in the US, UK or anywhere you like. Where you from?:)

I have the exact same question. I am currently a high school student based in shenzhen, a city just next to hongkong. Is it possible for me to get an oppourtunity in somewhere?
