How To Get Ahead Of Everyone On Release (Pre-Questing) | Cataclysm Classic

Pre-questing in Cataclysm is a little bit different than in previous expansions as there are more things to consider this time around than just getting to max level as quickly as possible.
I still think that pre-questing has a place in the leveling route for everyone who wants to sweat a little bit, regardless of what your goals are.

was going thru quests and some of the xp rewards seem very off... one of a kind says it only reward 12.3k xp and the Alterac Valley one is almost nothing. Do values change with full cata drop?

at 2:58 it shows you porting to caverns of time to begin uldum, then immediately after going to do your deepholm intros. how far in uldum do you go? just until you ding 83?

If questing all the way, Hyjal 80-82, Deepholm 82-83 (or until done with all the quest), Uldum 83-84, Twilight Highlands 84-85 ☺️

You did the raid/heroic dailies in Dalaran.... but will those quests give XP at launch if you have already done them many times before?

the daily dungeon quests actually appear as yellow quests despite having done them already instead of daily blues, so i assume theyd give xp.

I'm a big fan of you! You can do it all immediately, but the route is more efficient since you have to go to org anyhow to get to Deepholm, so might as well turn in then instead of making two trips. Plus it's prob not a bad idea getting to Hyjal early since there'll be a few quests where you have to compete for resources.

Luckily that feature was very short lived during OG Cata, and no, you will not have to explore the dungeons in classic.

They are from Wowhead + 10% exp due to the guild perk.

Wouldn’t the quests from Violet Hold and Ankhat the old kingdom give bad XP since the quests are green at 80?

The VH and Ankhat quests actually give full exp, you can check the Wowhead link and adjust your level to check the exp gain if you scroll down. You do get reduced exp from the Azjol Nerub quests, but they'll still be solid exp (the exp outlined in the sheet)

Haven’t seen video yet but my plan was to turn all the argent tourney and hodir dailies to the 25 limit and then go to hos till 82 then quest thru deepholm and twilight highlands. Imo go back to hyjal and vash when the rush is over to get the rep for the tabards later.

1-80 heirlooms stop working at 80 unfortunately, and the new heirlooms were changed to be 1-80 for the time being as well.

Prequesting is not needed at all. You will have more experience, but you will get to Hyjal later with almost no chance of getting ahead in the zone, which would make your questing way faster. There is enough experience in the Cata zones so some extra experience will make no difference.
