Outstanding!! Thanks very much. A legit way to make this happen and VERY timely since ZOOM is force upgrading to version 5 after May 30th apparently.

Steve Vasilev questions about Virtual Camera and Zoom come up everyday. I’d say just share this video when you see them haha!

This is great. Have you used ManyCam? Which do you prefer....eCamm or ManyCam? ManyCam seems to rip the heart out of the memory and processor - otherwise it seems great! Looking for the slickest, lightest solution...

Thanks, I haven't used ManyCam, but I'll have to check it out as I am open to all streaming platforms.

Thanks for the solution. When using an ATEM Mini do you suggest going from the HDMI out of the Mac -> External Monitor -> ATEM Mini and then switching to that HDMI input for Zoom to use Ecamm? I assume this needs the external monitor output to get Ecamm to work and can't just go HDMI out of the Mac straight to the ATEM?

Hey Gary thanks for the great vid! Does this fix only work via Ecamm & Blackmagic assist, did you get around Zoom fix for your capture HDMI Sony 6400 without video assist? Will this work for Panasonic GH5 any help would be really appreciated.

Anyone else had issues with the ATEM Mini randomly dropping out of the latest Zoom Mac App? This is my first day of testing. I am sending Zoom 25fps and have tried 30fps too - also drops after about 30 minutes. The mini is on the latest firmware. The Magewell solution appears to be much more stable.

I have a question for you regarding Ecamm's Virtual Camera's quality, when I tried to use it to present to a Zoom meeting all of my overlay graphics and pre-roll videos etc were totally chewed up by Zoom's compression, the output feed I was seeing was clean, but the audience was seeing a totally mushed image, my lower thirds titles were barely legible to them. Have you experienced this issue or are you aware of any ways to improve the quality of the output feed into zoom? I have HD video enabled in Zoom, and I even played around with the NDI output quality in Ecamm, though I'm fairly certain that has no impact on the Virtual Camera's quality. Have you had any quality complaints about your magewell virtual camera? BTW clever solution Gary, thanks for putting in the effort to make a setup video! I downgraded my zoom app and am version locking until Ecamm lets me know the issue is resolved, but it sounds like they'll be forcing updates before long so I'll keep this method in mind as I happen to have a spare magewell capture card lying around.

Lavin Rook it has to do with your bandwidth. Go to speedtest.net. What is your upload speed?
@lavinrook4 жыл бұрын
@@AmazeStudios Thank you for the fast reply! Sorry I should have clarified that point as well but I didn't want my question to be too bloated, I have 150Mb symmetric, but I'm using a old 100Mb 5 port switch so that lowers my maximum but it should still be well up to the task of outputting a good feed and my speedtests are always at least 90/90, also outputting to youtube from ecamm is clear as crystal so I'm fairly certain something in Zoom is the bottleneck. This is starting to get into really nitpicky troubleshooting and obviously you don't have any obligation to help me, feel free to bailout if you don't want to get anymore into it, I'm sure you've got stuff to do and I've got backup plans in the works if I can't get the Virtual Camera as clean as I want it. Seems like we're on the same page with the gear and the software so I was hoping there was just an obvious toggle option somewhere that I'd missed, you know how it is.

Lavin Rook go to Zoom Settings > Video and make sure Enable HD is selected.

@@AmazeStudios Yep, I always have that set. I wonder if the magewell capture feed would be less susceptible to compression than the Ecamm Virtual camera... Also I tested Wirecast's Virtual Camera as well with similar results. Program feed looks good, audience feed looks garbage. :-/

Do you know of a way to get around this problem when using your iPhone as a virtual camera? Apparently, Zoom is forcing the latest version of their software on May 30, 2020 and my setup will stop working with the older version of the software. Note: I am using EpocCam HD on my iPhone as my virtual camera. Thanks so much.

The only way I can think of without using the Terminal hack is to share your iphone screen via zoom.

Amaze Studios I found the Terminal hack after I asked you... that did the trick! Thanks!
