First I bought an I pad because of you and now I am ordering a pen grip and some paperlike screen protector... I can't but fall for every recommendation of this guy 😅

Before I watched this video, I had done the same with your technique before. I just need more practice for calligraphy, which is most difficult with an iPad and Pencil. Calligraphy on paper with real ink is really easy to control because of feedback together in real time, but not on iPad. So, Paperlike might be a good solution for me! Thanks for great tips!

Haven't watched your vids in a while, but always enjoy them. I like your quote at 1:15 about finding "the most efficient method to transcribe information". My handwriting on paper is terrible and on the iPad sometimes hardly legible 😅, so looking forward to this vid 😃

I also really love Paperlikes drawing glove. Especially when you´re drawing on your iPad the glove reduces the friction of your hand on the screen and also automatically cleans your screen as you move over it. However I also wear the glove for longer notetaking sessions 😄 it´s really comfortable

I've been using Notability for the last year and it's been a decent experience, but I just wasn't completely comfortable writing on my iPad, let alone using Notability. This morning though, I downloaded Goodnotes and began to write my name a bit and tested the fountain pen and much to my surprise, I liked it alot. I'm not totally won over yet, but we'll see.

For an absolute beginner, would you recommend the iPad Air instead of the iPad Pro? Thank you; your videos are amazing.

I just want to say that you don't need a screen protector to write neatly, I write the exact same on my iPad and regular paper. I haven't practiced, I have just used the iPad for a while and with a little bit of time it feels natural to write on the bare screen. I personally feel that I payed a lot of money for a beautiful screen and that a matte screen protector diminishes the quality of the screen... so yeah if your initial thought is that you don't want a screen protector but you think you need one, just hold of for a bit. :)

As always I appreciate and learned something from your video. Resizing is something I do not use but will give it a try. Regarding paperlike. I have used them in the past and really like it. However with the m4 11 I tried it and hated it. It scratched super easy and the paper feel for me was just not as good as it was in the past. I thought that maybe I just received a bad one. I exchanged but had the same results. Very sad. I will say their customer service is amazing as they did fully refund my purchase.

What paper settings do you use? My grid paper squares are very small on Goodnotes. Did you buy an additional paper bundle?

You should change the thumbnail to include one of your beautiful note pages, I think it would perform better imo

Im using ipad air m2 with pencil pro but idk why goodnotes seem laggy
@marselona6 күн бұрын
i read somewhere goodnotes uses a different api than apple notes, i think notability uses the same api as apple notes so it wont be laggy

Paperlike or any other Paperlike-style TPU/ PET screen protector is garbage. It destroys your Apple Pencil tips and makes your palm stick to the screen if your hands are even slightly sweaty. After spending hundreds of euros on Apple Pencil tips over the past three years, I decided to try a matte glass screen protector-and the results have been far better than with Paperlike. P.S. Spending €40 for two screen protectors that last only 3-4 months is ridiculous (even though I used to do it myself). Matte glass protectors don’t have the exact same feel-it’s close but not identical-but they’re practically indestructible. Unless you break, scratch, or crack them by dropping your device, they’ll maintain the same quality as day one, even after a year.
