I'm 54 and started lifting about 3 months ago. I watch videos from several youtubers and do get valuable information, but none of them connect like Ryan does. I was making zero gains in my shoulders and discovered I have horrible thoracic mobility preventing proper OH press form, thus no gains. I added this cable routine about 4 weeks ago and found i have to add weight almost every workout because my strength is increasing so fast. I perform this twice a week. So, a big thank you to Ryan and a FYI to anyone that this really works.

A hand positioning video for cable handles etc would be great. For example, I have noticed by applying more pressure to the left side, center or right side of the handle I contact differently. Just want to say I have been doing this stuff 35 years now ( 14 years old) and your videos have been some of the most helpful tips I have ever watched. Especially the rear delts. The pump I get in them now using your tip of dumbells face down on an incline just lights them up and blows them up like little balloons. Thank you for keeping this shit fun!

Mateus Coelho Rossi this is a great question. I either do dumbbell single leg seated calf press. Prop your feet up on a couple of plates or a block. You can also do this on a smith machine with a bar across your knees (using a pad or folded mat, of course). 👊🏽

@angmori172 Жыл бұрын
I know it's a late reply, but I've been home gymming for several years, and the best part about bands is that you can do literally every cable exercise with them if you have some sort of pillar to anchor them to. If not, you can use a door-frame pull-up bar to do decline work, and your feet or anything heavy on the ground to do incline work. Also get one or two grips, either single cable grips with an extra carbine hook, or Kensui Swissies. Yeah, the name sounds like it only does posterior chain work, but I got them a week ago and they turned my resistance band work into a whole new game.

He has a video where he does 3 stances to blow quads all on the leg press. Narrow, Regular focusing on heels then sumo. I dunno if he squats like that but he crushes leg presses with Narrow. So id assume its good but maybe dangerous with weight on your shoulders with a squat.
