I been makin music for about 2.5 years now, take my production quality very seriously. I've watched probably every video on KZbin for how to get clear vocals, and this is by far the most effective, and big respect for the creativity too. I'm not even all the way done w the video yet, and this method has my vocals cuttin thru the mix insane, can't believe hm clearer it is.

This is such an amazing trick!! I had a “problem” in my mix, in that I had mixed from the bass up, and I didn’t have a good high frequency response from anything. In the PAZ-Freq meter everything above 10 was non-existent. This technique and setting worked to really control the high end and mix it in easily, with some modifications of the plugin settings for the tracks (Gtr bass and vocals), to bring it all together. So fucking brilliant of an idea!! Many thanks for sharing!

I've been at this for quite a while, but always keep my ears open as the industry has changed with just the augmentation of users and musicians vying for convenience with better access. Nice job Devvon! That technique is called EQ splitting. You can use that all over your tracks. Especially nice on piano and piano samples (1970's Elton John technique) and if you shift the bands you can fine tune your kicks bass, and guitars. Use tastefully. Or even automate the fader blends to fit the different sections of your songs or even change the energy within the section. Keep making videos for you and your fans, so the world can have better music and mixes. And release your tracks. People want to hear them.
