🥳🥳🥳 Thank you SO much for being such a beautiful, caring and open person by sharing your story and about your own struggles with hair loss. I’ve been married to my beautiful husband 25 years and he has yet to see the damage my hair has under gone 😢. I wear wigs, my hair has gotten long, but I have a bald ring around the front of my forehead to my sideburns I’m working on. You have made things so clearer and easier. Thank you 🙏 my Sister!

The best product to use to fill in your edges a healthy way is with the African Pride black castor Miracle Cover edge control. It has the growth protector in it as well as filling in your edges. You must be careful with Jells and products with alcohol and sulfate in it which takes your hair out especially your edges.

You are stunning….with or without edges…i don’t have edges and i am a hair stylist….wearing to many wigs for over 16 years they have always been thin so this will help. Thank you…when you don’t have edges hair styles are hard…if your missing hair in the top or back you can kind of hide that…but edges are very hard to hide

I use mascara to fill in my edges. I just recently had in some Senegalese twists done and it took out my edges! So I have to grow them back! I'm sticking to protective styles and no more twists for a while until I get my hair back healthy again.
@rosejr26142 жыл бұрын
I got Senegalese twists and it took five years to grow back my edges. Get a wig for rough hair styles. The older we get the more brittle our hair anyways, I don’t even use relaxer and barely straighten my hair. Sometimes we have to make sacrifices for ourselves.

Thanks. I saw someone else do this on their video. It works pretty good as long as you can blend it seemlessly to make it look natural with your hair.

I did lose my edges totally too, but I am trying my best to grow them back fully. I refuse to apply anything on my edges that may stunt the growth. I will continue to do protective styles where the hair falls over and hide my bad edges. The only thing that touches my edges is black castor oil or biotin oil together with massages at night. I also take the biotin capsules daily and I tried my best not to sleep on my sides because I want them to breathe😃🤣. I don’t touch my edges to add any dyes, color sticks or any chemicals because it may cause further balding. Today after 3 months, I have hair all over my edges, still isn’t long enough to braid, but long enough to see no baldness. Please people, unless it’s a medical issue, take care of your edges the right way, don’t irritate them or camouflage them with things that may prevent growth. Bald edges aren’t cute.
@CanineGrowTime3 жыл бұрын
I just recently got put on a med that doctor said may thin my hair so I am watching these videos in preparation in case I lose my hair/edges. But I must say - I think education amongst us on how to PREVENT edge loss is not there. Young females need to understand that all these weaves and hair damaging things just aren't necessary. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Like why are we bald??? We have the thickest prettiest hair type on the planet and many of us are walking around here with thin/bald hair like... Really? It makes me sad to see what some people will do to their hair to fit a standard.
@Im-Done-Playing2 жыл бұрын
Sometimes bald edges wasn't a choice, so it might not be "cute" to you, but folks gotta work with what they got, and living yourself regardless of the flaws that other people throw onto you, well that is cute, even beautiful in itself so at THAT point.... you should have kept that last comment to yourself. You would think you would have been humbled having been a sufferer yourself at one time 🙄

I don’t usually comment on peoples things but I’m big with vibes and I just need to leave you a comment!!! God bless u sis!!!

I use mascara but I use it to cover my gray hairs that only grows around my edges. I stopped dying my hair just to cover my edges and discovered mascara Dying well really a rinse would only last a month and permanent dye would only last 2 months. And I refuse to keep putting that stuff in my hair monthly.

London I know you gonna think this is crazy but what I would do is cut all of that hair around your edges off just shave it off a couple times when it grows back cut it off again Then let your hair start growing see what happens because that worked for me it made it thicker because my hair come out on the left side little bit but is back Plus take some vitamins for your hair skin and nails take them every day OK love🥰

Hi. You should go to see an endocrinologist. To me it looks like this is caused by PCOS not the braids. Hair loss as such is caused by hormonal and insulin issues. This is PCOS is normally treated with METFORMIN. Yes the same medicine used to treat diabetes. PCOS is not diabetes. Please read about it. There's too much info for me to explain her. It affects black, Hispanic , and women of India. Pretty much women of color.

Black women need to leave those braids alone.They're just taking everybody's hair out and it's sad. Black women years ago didn't wear them and they all had hair .It's a shame that the hairdressers can see that the braids take your hair out but they want the money. It's sad.
@Xante1883 жыл бұрын
I agree. Lost mine due to traction from braids and tight, slicked-down ponytails in the 90s. It's very sad.
