@@nikitaroy1789 I would say within the first week I noticed my skin looked brighter from the vitamin c serum. At night I use the Olay 24 retinol night cream in a purple jar. It's super luxurious so a separate moisturizer isn't necessary. I would say by week 3 I noticed results. Especially with blemishes. I tried the Cerave SA cleanser, but the old tried and true, Neutrogena 2% SA Acne wash was gentler on my skin. The Cerave left my skin feeling tight while the Neutrogena left my face soft and not stripped. Either way, unless you leave a wash on your skin for a minute or two the salicylic acid won't get a chance to work much. For a leave-on SA I use the newly reformulated 2% SA serum from The Ordinary. (Not the anhydrous formula. ) It's cheaper and dries less "slippy" than Paula's Choice. I use that on my T-zone and The Ordinary 7% Glycolic Acid Toner on the rest of my face.

It doesn’t show any percentages either. It feels nice, but for the price I’d rather use something else that you have mentioned if I’m paying for a product that doesn’t have everything you’ve mentioned in your faves here. Thanks so much for all of your videos, I’ve learnt so much! I was only using natural products thinking they were the best for my skin. Unfortunately my skin is very picky. It get irritated and red just from water. If I use a acid it takes a few weeks for my skin barrier to heal. Lightly physically exfoliating my skin is the only thing that works to not get irritated red inflamed skin. I did get mandalic acid though so I might try that. It’s supposed to be the most gentle.

That sounds like you have very dry skin and damaged skin barrier, are you using products meant for dry skin and repairing ingredients like CeraVe? When I used a new product and after that water burned my skin I knew my skin barrier was really damaged. I just used CeraVe hydrating cleanser and moisturiser for a week, nothing else. (I didn’t leave the house much during the day so I didn’t need sunscreen, but that’s important if you’re out in the sun, mineral sunscreen is more gentle on sensitive skin)

Appreciate the way you clearly laid out each routine option on the screen. Could sensitive skin types substitute a PHA for the BHA? I have the Ordinary PHA, Paula’s Choice BHA and CeraVe SA cleanser but haven’t tried any yet because I’m afraid of more dryness and irritation. Actively peeling on my chin due to adapalene 3x a week and don’t know where to begin, or if I should just leave it alone. 🤔

Try to limit actives if using retinol in your routine. Simple is key to avoid irritation when comes to retinol. Look out for products that provides hydration and skin barrier restoration functions like centella asiasta aka cica to mitigate the retinol side effects :) You might wanna switch for gentler cleanser instead of SA :) use SA alternate day but not the in the same routine with retinol :)
