How To Get Gold in the World Rally Challenge race at Eiger Nordwand (HARD) -

managed to do it in the '98 Subaru by using the nonstop strat on the current (1.51) update. The last 3 laps were *terrifying* lol my Settings were: - RH - 95/80mm, 3/3, 20/60, 80/80, 2/2, 2.5/1.0, 0/0 - 5/10, 20/30, 10/20 - 40/60 - 250/250 - FCC ECU, standard transmission - *LOW RPM* turbocharger w/ no ALS - TCS 1 the strategy was to upshift EARLY as you were in this video, and allow the car to coast on the turns going down the mountain. For the speed I took the corners, in order (mph), I went at about 60, 115, 105, 120, 60, coasted starting at 120 on the straight past the bridge, then kept the corkscrews at about 35-45. The Low RPM turbo allows the car to have a lot of power even when shifting so obscenely early. Coasting on the turns coming down the mountain doesn't lose a ton of speed and gives you the most control over the car - something which the AI Audi struggled with at the end allowing me to beat it by ~4s with a time of ~13:33

Awful race, pit lane stupidly positioned. Tried it this morning with a fully tuned Quattro. AI pits twice to my once and still leaves me miles off.

That Quattro is fast but I find it hard to drive. As per my video, I find the Focus do much easier and quick enough.

Thank you. I wouldn’t have looked at the Ford. I applied my “default” settings. I was tired of this race so I put it on easy to make it go away. I won by 22 seconds, no stop.

Thanks for the tips. Something I've really noticed this update is that Racing Soft tires arent worth it in endurance races anymore. Previously once they'd run down they were fine so long as you didnt brake too aggressively at high speeds, now your car is an ice cube once the tires are shot. You'll RM or RH tires for this race.

Sometimes I give up and choose normal. Hard is too hard sometimes. It is only the need to do these videos that means I have to spend a few hours trying different cars and strategies until I find what works for me.

Fuel Map 6 didn’t last me so I switched to Medium Tires, Fuel map 4 with one pit on lap 8 and got 1st place easy peasy 👌🏼 thanks for the tips!

Before seeing your video, I made a few attempts in multiple rally cars, and I found the NSX rally car can do great too, by shifting early in the first half of the race and the drive aggressively in the last 3 laps. Same tactics as yours. Anyways, thanks for sharing!

Brilliant! Worked like a charm. You can lift and coast on the turns before the pit lane and heading down into the turn with pit exit. hooking up the hairpins is vital though - took an extra attempt just getting comfortable with the brake zones but easy 1st. Cheers mate!

Nevermind, the settings worked perfect for me, you just need to go on a higher gear on the pit lane exit to take the turn smoother, including the following hairpins, i would recommend at least use the NOS on a close-to-middle amount or middle for a good boost on the final straight

I also wanted to do this in the new McRae Subaru but yeah, no chance! So I switched to the Focus but still failed! Haha. More attempts are necessary!

Wow, that WTC600 race at Atlanta is one hard race. I could get second fairly easily in most cars, but first on hard was a tough cookie. I did it in the end in the Ford Focus RS of all cars. Tune and race is now available on my channel as usual.

Any ideas on how to get the car turning for the low speed sections? I am full lock, no throttle, 45KPH and the thing is understeering....

Slow in and fast out, but maybe try a lower gear at the very end of the braking phase to get the car turned in more. It might just be that you are going into the corners too fast and the car can't handle the speed and steering inputs.

If you look carefully, he's doing some extreme quick upshifts, even changing from 4th to 6th on the hill. Fuel map 6 plus rapid upshifts are key.

For the life of me i could not figure out how you were running 106 laps all stock. Then i noticed you actually had high rpm tc. Although, idk how you can go flat out through the course and still have fuel. Ive even let off and coasted for most corners of the laps and keep running out on lap 12.

Just upshift really, REALLY quickly. Sometimes I am even doing double upshifts to save fuel. Some people have used the Audi, but I found that way too hard to drive with the new physics.

I won this race with the Subaru two door went medium tyres and pitted in at lap six fuel was at four. I actually crept across the line on lap 12 ran out of fuel but won it

Keep trying the challenge. You’ll get quicker and I’m sure you will nail this one. Also remember that if you close down the race and go back in, the competitors change and sometimes they can be a little easier. You might need to come out and back in a few times to get an easier mix.
