The best explained video for people who start with bodybuilding and nutrition. In this way it is clear that with bulking your carbohydrates should not always be high as most people think. Keep it up I'm a fan 🇧🇪
@jessiedivincenzo52154 жыл бұрын
Good stuff. I will definitely implement this. I do it wrong when I bulk... keep upping the carbs until I spill over. First couple weeks I'm filling out daily, then it goes south and I start looking softer over time and eventually get off the bulk. This is more intelligent bulking. I've always thought that the dieting a bodybuilder does before shows plays to their favor over time as they are constantly keeping the body guessing vs just bulking all the time which forces you to do so much cardio to keep the six pack.
@gregorynelson62304 жыл бұрын
You're probably still insulin resistant to some degree, so carb cycling would likely work well for you. Better insulin sensitivity means everything from better workouts and better energy levels to better recovery. Some guys can slam 500+ grams a day, day in/day out, while the rest of us have to moderate if we want to be at our best. Carb cycling is the way to go for we guys who are fat boys, genetically.

@traingear95784 жыл бұрын
just a little added information here - "Spilling over" does not necessarily mean carbs go to fat . your body has the ability to store glucose in extra cellular water retention under the skin and around the organs. you 'spill over' and the glucose is getting held in a film of water retention .. the film of water you hold when carbing up too much for a show is glucose spilling over and being held in water stores, , not necessarily carbs suddenly turning to fat
@FouadAbiad4 жыл бұрын
Obviously the explanation I'm giving is for the avg listener and its very simplistic. The end result of eating too many carbs is they end up being stored as fat. Thats the important information I think people should know.

Quick question: I'm slightly familiar with this analysis on carb cycling, but wanted to know your thoughts on those that go the extra step of ensuring that 50-75% (or a significant portion) of their carb intake is around the time of day for their weight training session. For example, I carb cycle but ensure that almost all of my carb intake is immediately before and after I go to the gym, which helps me stay really lean while keeping my carb sensitivity in check.
@FouadAbiad4 жыл бұрын
V TG I think that is a great practice and something I’ve done for the last 5 or more years since working with John Meadows

@mikes.80874 жыл бұрын
If you workout early in the morning, let’s say 6am, how would you go about doing this? Would you plan to have the majority of your carbs right before bed and after the workout?
@JuicedMoose4 жыл бұрын
@@mikes.8087 to me that makes most sense. Your glycogen stores are full ehen you wake up ready to burn.
@vtg16324 жыл бұрын
@@mikes.8087 Hey Mike. I believe some people who train do this (eat before bed and after waking up the next morning, complete a training session), but I don't at all. First of all, I'm healthy and am a weightlifter, but am average: a lot of carbs for someone of my stature (6 foot even 205 pounds when bulking, 185-190 when lean, 190-200 regular) is around 150-200 carbs per day. When I'm bulking I'll just eat about 1 cup of oatmeal before working out at 6:00 a.m. (54 grams of carbs) another cup after working out (another 54 grams of carbs) and about 50-75 grams of carbs before noon (I try not to consume carbs after 12; I am carb sensitive so this regimen works well for me). Moral of the story - run an experiment on yourself based on what you come across and study, analyze the results, and keep it going.
